Join Our Surf Hostel Crew in Gijón! 🏄‍♂️
We’re looking for a hands-on, handy volunteer to help get our hostel ready for the next surf season! If you love the beach vibe, enjoy fixing and creating things, and want to spend your days by the ocean, this is the perfect spot for you. Come help us make the place shine — and catch a few waves while you’re at it! 🌊🛠️

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 21 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Por nuestra parte vamos a proveerte de todo lo necesario para desarrollar tus funciones de manera correcta y segura. Pero no sólo eso; en GSH te vamos a dar la posibilidad de aprender o mejorar tu surf, contamos con todo el material necesario para que podáis practicarlo en tus tiempos libres junto con otros voluntarios, nuestros huéspedes y profes!
También contamos con skates, gimnasio, un jardin grande con barbacoa que vais a poder utilizar cuando queráis.
Por tu parte, esperamos que nos ayudes en nuestra casa y jardín para que esté lista para todas esas fiestas, surf y barbacoas en veranos 2026. El compromiso, seriedad, respeto, intensidad y buena onda son cosas que esperamos encontrar en nuestros voluntarios.
