I left 3 days into my work exchange, I wish I could attach photos to this review.. every mattress, pillow, and wall in my room was covered in mold. bugs in the beds. i was only fed 1 meal in total and it was a plate of rice. work schedule unclear. was accepted for gardening position but they don't have any gardening supplies. i was assured that my very limited portuguese would not be an issue yet no one there spoke really any english. i was basically shown to my room and left with no instructions until i left after getting sick. don't be fooled by the pics of the beautiful view. bad experience

It was my first WorldPackers experience and I spent a great time with them. If you are looking for a great place surrounded by nature, with nice staffs and far from everything else, it is certainly the right place to stay. I did all kinds of required work, since using my social media and advertising skills and also cleaning and all stuffs possible. It is usually a fair and nice place to work with flexible time, despite they required much more work than usual in the new year eve period and I didn't feel comfortable with this. So I recommend to you, except on this period of the year.

I really recommend the hostel!!!! The Owner, manager and other worldpackers are super friendly and make you feel at home! The hostel is really beautiful and it has an amazing view! It is close to several trails that take you to nice beaches! The work hours is fair and flexible depending of what you are doing! Its my second worldpacking experience and it could not have been better!!! :)

Si les gusta la naturaleza, las trilhas recomiendo al 100%. Barra de Guaratiba es hermoso, y el hostel un buen lugar para voluntarear con una vista increíble. Sin dudas volvería 😁

Minha experiência no hostel foi incrível, o lugar é cercado por natureza, acesso à praia e trilhas paradisíacas. Me conectei com pessoas de diversos países, aprendi novas habilidades, as tarefas são simples e o horário flexível, vou embora com muita gratidão por esse lugar 🙏

Minha experiência no hostel foi maravilhosa, o Thiago reparte bem as tarefas, flexível, educado, me recebeu super bem, tive uma conexão boa com todos. Vivi momentos incríveis, e que vou levar a melhor lembrança desse lugar. Recomendo!

O hostel é um lugar maravilhoso para se conectar com a natureza, outros voluntários e com a cultura local! Estrutura incrivel, com uma piscina de borda infinita com vista para um lindo por do sol. O anfitrião é uma pessoa incrivel! Sempre flexivel e compreensivo. o hostel é o voluntariado ao qual você sempre lembra com carinho e tem boas recordações!
