It was a great experience staying on a cacao farm where we got to even make chocolate from scratch. The family looking after us was super nice and welcoming, definitely recommend!

The project has nothing to do with volunteering and shouldn't be in platform like worldpackers. the + : the food is great and the family is nice. The - : the work is very light : it seems like you're not useful at all and they give you shitty tasks. The main thing is ayahuasca and if you don't want to do it, it's like you're less important. You have to ask for everything several times, because if not you won't do any activities they « offer » + 10€ a day is too much. Also i got put in a room 2 mtrs away for the Ayahuasca room : i've heard people throwing up all night, lack of respect.

I've had such an incredible time here. From the very first night, I thought I'd started off on the wrong foot, but this place truly taught me so much, and now it's hard to say goodbye. Living among cocoa trees, not too deep in the rainforest, was like a dream come true. Falling asleep to the sounds of frogs each night and waking up to delicious meals every morning felt magical. I learned so much every day about cocoa, organic farming, and the rich local art and culture. This has been one of my best volunteer experiences, big thanks to the family and I highly recommend it to anyone!

My experience at the project Mágico the project was amazing. The Chujandama-Peso family is really warm and welcoming. The work is fun, varied and it's not too much, I usually had the afternoons off, and I could go to the river bank, or wander around and get in touch with the locals, and play volleybal (the project's national sport :). The best thing was feeling welcomed by the family and learning about their ways of living. So, big shout out to Maria Elena, Heriberto and Cristian, as well as Maria Carmen, el Samurai, Yordi, a Valiente y los otros perros y a todos los niños del pueblo!!

I had a great time at the project Mágico! The family is very sweet and welcoming. They'll make sure you get to do everything you want to do during your volunteer. They made sure I was able to make some chocolate with them and go to the waterfall. The waterfall is amazingly beautiful by the way. Well worth the tricky path to get there. The work was very manageable helping out with various agricultural tasks or helping out with the chocolate production. I learned a lot about medicinal plants and the importance of eating well which shines through María Elena's cooking! Muchas gracias!!

We were here for one week as a couple. Our experience at the project was really amazing. We felt from the beginning like a part of the family. The food was more than amazing, the best what we ate so far in Perú. 100% recommendable 😊.

The family welcomed us very well. The food, in addition to being typical, was tasty and was always served in generous quantities! We had the opportunity to learn how to make artisanal chocolate and it was an experience of a lifetime. On the day off, we went to see Cascada Tununtunumba as a group.

Volunteering at the project Mágico was an incredible experience! The family was super nice and welcoming, the work was fun and well explained (even with my very basic level of Spanish), the meals were amazing, and the project is a beautiful town with friendly locals. During my week there I feel like I learned a lot about medicinal plants, how to make organic chocolate, and how to live in harmony with nature. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking to connect with nature and meet some truly amazing people. Muchas gracias 🫶🏻
