Program Details
Join a working equestrian estate in Sri Lanka and take part in daily ranch life. Volunteers assist with horse care, riding-related activities, and general ranch tasks that support our signature riding holidays. Trail rides are scheduled during cooler hours for horse welfare. Simple refreshments, including fresh fruit juice, are available on-site.
Activities & Shift
Riding activities take place early morning or late afternoon to prioritize horse comfort and welfare. Volunteers may handle or ride horses only with prior approval and must follow assigned tasks and safety guidelines. Each volunteer is eligible for one supervised ride per day, subject to conditions and scheduling.
We encourage initiative and flexibility—volunteers may propose shifts or activities aligned with their skills and interests. All proposals are reviewed in advance. Our focus is on learning, efficiency, and maintaining a respectful, well-run ranch environment.
