What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 25 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers and Materials for volunteer activities

Description: You are required to pay $25 per night for each night's stay. This includes shared ranch house accommodation (maximum 3 volunteers at a time), fan, 3 meals, tea/coffee, riding helmet, towel, bedding. The fee is payable upon arrival for the period confirmed. We provide a work area, patio, and guest-class comfort at the ranch for all volunteers.

Program Details

The scope of this program is to establish a signature riding holiday/trail riding experience business.

We believe in holistic approaches and sustainable ways of operating. Depending on your skills and experience you will have the opportunity to participate in the following activities: riding, training and working with horses, rail riding, working riding safaris.

You will have the opportunity to ride, groom and enjoy curated experiences.

Our kitchen offers snacks such as organic potato fries, wraps, fruit salad, ice cream and beer for a nominal fee.


Activities & Shift

We ride early in the morning or in the evenings to ensure the comfort of our horses.

Volunteers are not a replacement for workers in our business model. You are expected to participate in discussions and carry out your tasks as planned, without hindering our operations. You are required to report to the stables ONLY at the times given to you and should refrain from hanging out in the stables or taking horses out without permission.

Safety: You are responsible for your own safety and are expected to maintain the highest safety standards. No insurance is provided.

Volunteers have the opportunity to ride once a day.


Rules

1. Volunteers are not permitted to share personal details, contact information, or their personal social media with ranch staff, and vice versa.

2. Ranch staff are not allowed inside volunteer accommodation, and volunteers are not allowed inside staff accommodation or other areas of the ranch’s business operations.

3. Meals should be consumed in the designated dining area at the following times:

DINING HOURS:
0830 hrs: Breakfast
1230 hrs: Lunch
1930 hrs: Dinner

4. Smoking is NOT PERMITTED inside roofed areas or accommodation.

5. Volunteers are required to obey the ranch’s safety rules.

6. Payment is due upon admission into the program. We accept US dollars, LKR cash, or credit cards.

7. Volunteers are not allowed to interfere in the internal affairs or management of the staff and the ranch.
