My time at the project was lovely! While there, I helped Leo planting, trimming and cleaning the field and digging a hole for a fish pond. We worked in the morning, and other than that, helped with cooking, cleaning and being with the kids. I've learned a lot about plants, and spent a lovely time playing with the girls! Leo also though me about natural cosmetics, although it was not the actual work during my stay, as there were other projects he needed help with. Both leo and keyla were very welcoming and caring, and made me feel at home. Very happy to help this beautiful project

Leo's project is immersed into nature. The activities vary from building with mud to learning about natural cosmetics. Be aware that it can get physical. The beds for the volunteers are unattended (you need not to mind bugs, humidity and mosquitoes. Fair, being in the jungle). Leo has two children. They are lovely, energetic and demand attention. Be aware that childcare is not listed as one of the activities, but it is one of them, if not the main one. We had a lovely time with them. You'll take turns cooking meals (creativity with little ingredients required). We loved our time there.

The project is an amazing place to experience the life on La Sierra! River, Nature, Animals and incredible people to meet there. If you like simple, quiet life and wild nature this is the place for you!

Leo is someone truly committed to his lifestyle in the jungle, fully embracing a way of living in harmony with nature. He is an admirable person, always taking care of his two daughters and managing all the activities on the farm with dedication. The internet connection is good but not available throughout the entire farm, which slightly changed my initial plans. However, the surroundings are absolutely stunning. One thing that really surprised me was the number of Europeans in the area, both as tourists and as residents. Leo's two daughters are adorable but extremely demanding of attention.

I spent a week helping sew shut a few hundred bags of soil that would be used to construct a retaining wall. The area is really beautiful and I enjoyed the peaceful mornings and evenings in my hammock listening to the bugs and birds and rain. From the listing I did think there would be different types of tasks where I might learn more, but I wasn't there long so I imagine a longer term volunteer might learn more. The kids are very sweet. Leandro was flexible about me coming a day late because I was sick & his cooking is great. The internet works well. The room could be a bit more comfortable.

This was a nice experience completely immerged in the jungle! I learned a lot about making your own soap and cosmetic products. It was nice to share the daily life (tasks, meals...) with the hosts! Thanks again for having me :)

Estar en the project fue muy agradable, eso sí que llegas en moto y el camino es algo feo, toda una aventura. Pero vale la pena. Hay movimiento de voluntarios y eso siempre es cool poder conocer mas gente. Las actividades son interesantes. Hay dos niñas pequeñas 5-3 años así que si decides ir es necesario que te gusten los niños porque tocará convivir y tienen mucha mucha energía.Es un espacio para crear arte, estar tranquilo en la montaña, aprender de plantas, las niñas son conocedoras de sus tierras y Leo es un buen anfitrión, piden $ para comida, creo debería estar especificado en el perf

Mon expérience à the project a été enrichissante ! J'ai aidé à fabriquer des savons, déshydrater bananes, manioc et herbes, et construire un mur en bambou avec les autres volontaires. Le lieu, au cœur de la Sierra Nevada, offre des paysages magnifiques et une rivière pour se baigner. Léo nous intègre à la vie quotidienne et reste toujours à l'écoute. Les deux filles de Léo sont pleines d'énergie (ce qui peut parfois être un peu fatigant 😄), et apportent beaucoup de vie à la maison. Pensez à l'anti-moustique et à la lampe frontale !

El proyeto fue mi primera experiencia como voluntario y me gustó muchísimo. El proyecto está ubicado justo en la naturaleza, cerca de un río y montañas con vistas lindas. Leo y su familia son hospitalarios y las niñas están súper monas. Me sentí como en casa. Aunque llegué un poco enfermo de barriga había mucho respeto y me daban tareas más adecuadas para mi estado físico. Recomiendo esta experiencia para todos los que quieran reconectar con la naturaleza y su cuerpo.

Es una experiencia inolvidable, para mí estuvo genial, estuve trabajando en la construcción de un Domo por esos días. Soy arquitecto. Pero allí se aprenden y se pueden aprender otras cosas, también está la elaboración de jabones y otras cosas caseras como la deshidratación de bananos. Hay muchísimos. Leo y su familia, su mujer y las niñas son muy especiales buena gente. Y Leo está siempre lleno de energía y buena vibra. La pasé súper. Las niñas son encantadoras. Seguro volveré nuevamente. Me sentí como en familia. Y el paisaje definitivamente mágico, te conectas de una forma con la naturaleza.
