The experience

Here is a space with much potential for you to employ your abilities, also if you're not formally educated. Teaching is much sought-after here.
You can teach in your own way, and even influence the curriculum if you have a strong suit or a good idea. Say you like animals, baking, sports, music, or dancing. Those are examples of subjects that you could help teaching the children.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: To support our program, volunteers are kindly requested to contribute $10per day for food expenses. This contribution helps us provide meals and sustain our operations.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Program Details

We are grateful for any help given in our community. We are very passionate as a team and we hope you share our ambitious attitude. We like to see a happy and optimistic volunteer.

We do all in our power to make your stay as pleasant, inspiring, and exciting as possible. Work times may vary a lot due to rain or other things, but if you need some time for yourself or for checking out Uganda, we are very understanding.


Activities & Shift

As stated shifts may vary a lot, and if you have a project you want to work on, you may also want to spend some time working on that either around school or instead of. We hope you arrive willing to help, but we are very open as to how you want to do that and which hours you find most productive.


Rules

We are quite easy-going and do not enforce many social etiquettes apart from common sense and being nice to others.
