I did my volunteering with my boyfriend and we were both very well received. Verónica is a very nice and generous person, who always helped us in eventualities that we had in our trip. Also she gave us the possibility of making very interesting and fun excursions. Svet, is a good company, you can chat, listen to music and have a good time. Jelmar and Angie are funny and nice people too. The only thing is that the farm and maintenance work can sometimes be hard. However, the experience was great, it is a loving family, we had great experiences and we are very greatful.

We unfortunately think we came at the wrong moment because everyone was working a lot, and therefore always in their rooms. So, we were most of the time by ourselves and it was hard to fit in and feel welcomed. However, there were nice with us and Svet tried to stay with us as much as he could. It was our first Worldpackers experience, we just wished we could talk with them more but we know it's mainly due to their work situation. We still enjoyed our time their and we loved spending time with Roxy and Matzka.

I really enjoyed my time in the farm! Veronica and Jelmer are the best and made my first experience with workdpackers an amazing experience! I was able to learn, the food was really nice and I tried several typical Bulgarian dishes which was really nice. I had some problems with Svet, another worker there, because of the schedule and some tasks he wanted me to make. The place is really nice and quiet, but literally in the middle of nowhere, so it's kind of difficult to get to know the surroundings.

This experience is amazing if it what you are looking for. You really get to experience life on a rural Bulgarian farm. You da lot of work outside and together with the nature. However, the work can be difficult and a lot, which is nothing that the hosts don't already claim. But just know before you go, that is not just a little vacation resort in the mountains, rather a farm where you will be put to work in oder to help the family complete the daily tasks on the farm. Overall I really really recommend this experience. I learnt a lot and the hosts were all extremely kind and inviting :))

The work wasn't that hard, only sometimes but that was due to the heat. Sometimes I worked for more than 6 hours and my free days were rather "only 3 hours of work" than full free day, I reckon I only had one proper free day. Felt a bit unwelcomed and strange at the beginning but it got better eventually. Nice place but very remote so there's not much to do. It wasn't bad but I've had bigger expectations. Overall it was alright.

Wow, Klara! I am surprised from your feedback. And even more surprised that I get to read this here, while in person when I asked you for feedback, everything was great. So we were not friendly and welcoming enough? Next to a free permaculture course and free beer, you also got a free hike and picnic in the mountain, a free tour in another permaculture farm and a small international party, a free dance lesson of Cha-cha-cha and a free Human Design overview reading. If you were looking for more entertainment, you should have chosen for a paid holiday in a hotel, dear, not a sustainability project. Please, don’t forget that this is a farm and you are here to support us, because we need the help. That's what volunteering is all about. As well as doing it for Mother Nature, Climate Change and sustainability, not only for us. During your stay we share the same household and we are housemates. This means that even on your free days you still have to take part in the cooking and cleaning chores like you would when you are at home, even on weekends. On your free days you don’t have to do any farm work unless you really want to for which thank you, of course! We thought you were just loving watering the garden, and enjoying the physical load for the exercise. Maybe better and more timely communication is something both sides should consider here?! Success with your next volunteering experiences.

I didn't expect that my first volunteering experience would be really awesome, I met magic people, I learnt so many skills which I've never experienced beforeI especially about how we can improve and preserve Soil, the importance of that one and permaculture.

This was my first solo backpacking trip and I want to point out that Veronica, Svet, Yalmar and Angelina were all amazing hosts and characters. I want to give a huge shoutout to Veronica who went above and beyond and truly exemplified the role of a host. As well as Svet who was that guy and a great chef. Hours and work were easily manageable and simple. The area had a rustic and quiet alluring charm, while the area created a quaint atmosphere. My stay was an insight, mind-opening and unforgettable experience. For Svet, I say this with love, **** Mursavelo.

You're in the middle of nowhere but the mountains are absolutely majestic! Very country living and rustic but I enjoyed myself immensely. Veronica is a great host. Friendly, chatty and kind. Svet makes some fantastic food. Good people :) got a chance to learn about permaculture and mingle with the locals. A very Bulgarian experience. Don't forget to try the Bulgarian beer!

Hey guys! Volunteering at the farm was my first experience as a volunteer trough Worldpackers and i loved it! Jalmar and Veronica are very nice people they take a very good care of their volunteer. You learn a lot about sustainability and they even take the time to show you other farm that does the same! They are very good people who make sure you have a great experience. I very highly recommend 🤗
