Wonderful experience! Beautiful grounds, clear expectations, and fun tasks. I was always tired after volunteering, but nothing felt unreasonable. I would love to go back again. I will say that if you're already interested in Buddhism and have background in a particular tradition, it's worth looking into the New the Center Tradition beforehand so you have an idea of what you're getting into. Nothing bad, just perhaps different from what I was familiar with

I had so much fun here, I met amazing people from all over the world, was able to tap into a form of consciousness much easier and quicker than before, the food was amazing and really helped my body and mind, I got to improve my skills in communal chores and self care, connected with people who are really kind and live by the promotions of spreading inner peace, bettered my meditation skills and my understanding of the flow and I think overall was able to break past many blockages personally thanks to the safe and consistent environment. I really loved it and hope to visit the other centers☺️

I really enjoy my stay at the Center IKRC as my first Worldpackers experience. Everyone is helpful and nice, shift hours and tasks are clear and easy. Will definitely recommend this experience and hopefully could come back in the future:)

I had an amazing time at Tara Center, everyone was so welcoming a lovely and met beautiful people. I want to thank specially Ximena and Nathalie who were in charge of the kitchen and household (where I worked mostly) because they were absolutely sweet with the volunteers.

As my first volunteer experience, this location was perfect. The residents are very welcoming and work to create a good environment for all. The volunteers I have met here and the connections I have made were the best part of this experience. This is a great spot to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism and to open your mind to a different way of life. Thank you Tara the Center!

This was my first volunteering experience and it honestly exceeded all my expectations. I mainly helped with household tasks (cleaning), and I truly enjoyed it. Ximena, the household manager, is such a lovely person β€”working with her was a pleasure and really motivating πŸ’› The connection with the other volunteers was amazing too; I made friendships that I'll carry with me forever πŸ’•πŸŒΌ I also learned so much about Buddhism, which was really eye-opening and inspiring. Oh, and the food β€”absolutely delicious! I felt welcomed from day one✨

I had an amazing experience at the center. I got to meet incredible souls from all around the world and the center is surrounded by beautiful walking paths. All the managers are very flexible and kind people. I mostly worked ay the cafΓ©, which is long hours but very rewarding. I would happily go back anytime, so I recommand to anyone considering going to take the leap and enjoy this one of a kind establishment ✨️ Thank you once again πŸ’›πŸ™

Overall a great experience at Tara. There was a chance to da variety of tasks, the residents and staff are lovely, and you get to meet a lot of different people from all over the world. Loved the lunchtime meditations as well.

My two-week stay at Tara the Center were my first volunteering experience. Everyone is extremely welcoming and kind, providing a supportive and welcoming environment. During my time there I mostly worked in the cafeteria, which was a great place to not only work but also socialize and meet new people. My English skills improved significantly during my stay, thanks to the opportunities to practice and engage in conversations with both locals and other visitors! I learned a lot both socially and culturally. I will miss you all very much, Bea.

During my volunteer experience at Tara the Center in Derby, I coincided with the winter the Center, engaging with practitioners, the Center volunteers, residents, and teachers. the Center offers a serene environment, surrounded by 38 acres of parkland and woodland 🌳 Its proximity to Etwall makes it easy to access local services and enjoy peaceful walks. Tasks were fair and well-organized, with a strong focus on community harmony 🀝 The World Peace CafΓ© β˜• is a lovely spot to relax and connect.
