The island itself is one of my favorite places that I have visited so far. The hostel is located right in the city center and I was close to the best beaches which was really good. The work consisted in working one day all day which it was hard but it was rewarded after with 3 days off to do wherever you wanted to. The best this that I can take out of this experience was the team that I was working with Caty, memi, vale and Elena made my experience much better. If you have a good team you will love the experience.

It was such an experience. Carlos and Pilar were nice but I don't really recomend this place if you are young and you want to enjoy the island. Is very exhausted to work 15h, the next day you feel very tired and the other days maybe you don't match with the other volunteer to do some things together. Me and the other volunteer (my friend) didn't feel comfortable with the 3rd volunteer because we didn't feel her very friendly since the beginning. I recommend this place if you are looking something very chill but no if you are looking for activities because they don't organize anything.

Que pena Camila! No esperamos esto de ti. Entendería que nos pusieras un 1 si no te hubiesemos explicado el funcionamiento del hostel y lo que queremos trasmitir con el hostel.
Pero decimos claramente, y precisamente lo decimos para que gente como tú no postule y se vaya a un hostel party.
Está todo claro en las descripciones y una vez que postulas, dejamos muy claro que somos un hostel tranquilo (que tenemos horarios de cierres tanto para cociina como para terraza... lo decimos absolutamente todo) y que damos los turnos, horarios, y el voluntariado a realizar, que está exactamente descrito a la realidad, y lo hacemos todo antes de que aceptes el voluntariado. Me parece increible que digas que despues del voluntariado estas cansado, teniendo en cuenta que las tardes se hace muy poco y que despues tienes 3 días libres, y dicendo que es un hostel tranquilo y que no organizamos nada (qu es lo que más trabajo da) lo entendemos menos.
Tampoco entiendo que digas esto cuando en principio tu venias para un mes y despues de 2 o 3 turnos nos pediste extender para el mes de abril con una amiga que venia y para el mes de mayo con tu novio. Nosotros cumplimos con absolutamente todo lo pactado. Tu no. Entre ellas horarios de terraza, importantisimo para nosotros, porque nos multan, pero eso a tí te dió igual. Eres joven, quieres fiesta que lo entendemos perfectamente, pero tienes que leer mejor las condiciones entonces.
Sinceramente Camila ni lo entendemos ni tiene sentido.
Que ademas describas negativamente a otro voluntario(compañera tuya) como lo haces, dice mucho más de ti que del hostel o del voluntariado del hostel. Compañera a la que trataste con bastante desprecio por no considerarla de tu clase.
No doy ninguna recomendación. Te has descrito tu sóla
Muchas pena de encontrarme esta descripición de nuestro hostel, que tiene la realidad de ser un hostel tranquilo, que no hacemos eventos (algo que ya decimos en la descripciones) y que consideramos el voluntariado un compromiso. Te deseamos lo mejor.

Volunteering at the hostel was amazing, the working hours and the tasks they contain are super chill and easy to follow and you get a lot of time to explore the whole island. The hostel itself was also amazing, a lot of international travelers come here and you really get to meet amazing people from the whole world, the facilities and rooms are also very nice. Would definitely recommend :)

The experience I had in the hostel was definitely one of the best of my life. ❤️ I met wonderful people, both among the guests and the staff, we created a big family. I have to thank Pilar for giving me this opportunity, she is a wonderful person and very helpful. The only recommendation I can give you is not to think twice about applying! If you love meeting people from all over the world and sharing experiences, this is the perfect place for you. The working hours are not stressful at all, everything is perfectly organised and designed for you to fully enjoy your stay on the island.

Perdoname porque no pude hacerte la reseña, se me pasaron los días, y no sabía que tenía fecha de caducidad, lo siento.
Pero desde aquí digo, que eres recomendable 100% para el voluntariado.

It's hard to explain how amazing has been my experience of voluteering in Lualua. If you're looking for a friendly, lovely, funny and easy-going place to stay, this is your place! It's such a big family where everyone is more than welcome. Carlos is a wonderful person, he's gonna make you feel welcome and he's ready to help you whenever you need. The crew of volunteers can arrange shifts as they prefer. The work is reasonable. I learned spanish, I meet a lot of wonderful people from all the world and I made an incredible experience that I won't never forget. Strongly raccomended!!

This is an amazing and lovely place full of good vibes and experiences, Carlos and his family are the best, always caring about us and they make sure you are feeling properly, all the work is even and there is enough free time to enjoy the island. Totally recommended :)

The hostel is one of the best hostels in the hostel. Relaxed atmosphere, no rush, everyone is friendly and super helpful. There's enough time to socialise, sightsee and enjoy. I loved every minute of it.

Esta fue mi primera experiencia como Worldpacker y no habría podido pedir por algo mejor. El hostel es hermoso y auténtico. Las tareas son muy simple, organizadas y te dejan mucho tiempo libre, con lo que visité gran parte de la isla. Carlos es una persona fantástica! Amable y siempre disponible. Gracias a él teníamos la posibilidad de hacer muchas experiencias inolvidables. Conocí (entre locals y equipo) muchas personas que me regalaron amistades especiales. Recomendaría el hostel sin dudas! Hermosa experiencia la que vivi en LuaLua! Mi primera vez siendo voluntario, al principio fui con muchas dudas y miedos, pero enseguida me encontré con Carlos, el mejor anfitrión que debe existir. Esta todo muy organizado y los turnos se hacen de manera muy orgánica, el siempre está a nuestra disposición para aconsejarnos y hacernos sentir como en casa a todos los voluntarios. Estoy muy agradecido con él y con todo el equipo que me tocó compartir! Me llevo muchas amistades y buenos recuerdos. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.
