Fantastic experience close to Venezia, Verona, mountains, sea

My stay with Gigliola was nothing less than amazing! The workload was very light considering the same guests were there for the entirety of my stay and the common areas were very easy to clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, teaching me Italian and showing me around the area. However you are in a small town and the walk into the town centre is a little bit long. If you are looking for more exploring you have to take a train into nearby cities like Venice and Verona, but the train station is fairly easy to get around!! Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

It was a wonderful experience, I felt welcomed and part of the team: Giogliola it's a fantastic host who encourages you to learn about sustainability and Italian culture, and the work hours/free days respected. As my first experience volunteering I'd totally recommend the guest house Schio it's a pretty little town next to the mountains but well connected and near Veneto's important cities. I did improve my Italian and my English, but above all, I learn what are the values of volunteering and hosts. Schio and the guest house will always be in my heart Tante Grazie Gigliola!

Volunteering with Gigliola was an amazing experience! The place is located in a very beautiful and quiet place surrounded by mountains. There were bikes available which were very convenient to visit the city centre. The workload was not too much and I had a lot of free time to explore and go on bike rides :-)

It was my first experience and I can say it was a great choice. Gigliola is very kind, receptive and friendly. Communication with her is good and all jobs are conveyed in advance. I had free time to get to know the region and enjoy

I came to stay a month and I ended up extending for another month, so receptive was Gigliola! No matter if it's been too busy of a day for her, she has a huge heart and will always be the most kind and caring. She helped me promptly when not even my family was able to. I recommend the experience if you really want to practice Italian or want to make connections.

Gigliola was very nice and welcoming towards us. This experience is perfect if you want to learn Italian in a small and calm town. There are some interesting cities/activities reachable by train, like Verona and Lake Garda.

An incredible experience, Gigliola is a very friendly host and a wonderful cooker. I loved getting to know the culture! The work is very flexible, Caterina and I took care of the house with a lot of love. We really loved it and enjoyed every moment! I could not have imagined a first experience as perfect as it was.

Gigliola is simply the best host! Taught us everything we needed to know, made incredible tradicional meals while being extremely open about the things we need to do at the house. It's such a nice city, the sky is beautiful and it's near a lot of places (lago di Garda, Venezia, Vicenza, places with Mountains), if you can you should stay at least a month, definitely couldn't pick a better host and place to be on this Worldpackers experience! The hours worked and the free time were great. We also had the opportunity of meeting the guests and practice our italian. Thank you for everything Gigli!
