My stay with Anna and Christian was simply great. I enjoyed the work, which constituted of gardening and maintenance, and it was not too much. After 4,5 hours of work, you're free to do as you like. The place has the best views on the most beautiful beaches, and there is a lot to do nearby. I went almost every day to Ayampe, which is only 20 minutes by bus or taxi, and considered as one of the best surf towns of Ecuador. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to learn a lot about Ecuador from Anna and christian (while sharing a Cuba libre), and to improve your Spanish massively.

My three weeks at the hostel were filled with a lot from different activities ranging from cutting down plants to enjoying cuba libres. I was welcomed by Ana and Christian with utmost respect and hospitality. I really felt at home. There was alot to do in my free time, such as surfing (there are some great spots for beginners) and long beach walks. The fishermens village Salango is a very calm and peaceful place. Everything is very accesible by bus. Thank you very much for the experiences here! Mauritz

I had a great experience at the hostel! Ana and Christian were very kind to me during my stay, work felt rewarding, and meeting fellow travelers was a plus! I loved how the hours and rest days were respected and appreciated being surrounded by nature everyday. Would definitely recommend!!

I couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience! Ana and Christian were super welcoming and really helpful throughout my stay at the hostel. There's a lot of places to discover on their beautiful soil and by the villages nearby. Overall very grateful for this immersive experience. Would recommend to anyone who love to do manual work and being connected to the surrounding nature.

I had a great experience at the hostel! The views were amazing, the work was fun, and the hosts were very kind. There's a small town a short walk away, and Puerto Lopez is about 10 minutes by car. It is great for those who want to be right next to the sea and get their hands dirty. Thank you Ana and Christian! 🙏

It was my first time doing volunteer work and I couldn't expect anything better. The hosts always treated me with the utmost respect, instructions were clear and schedules were honored. I'm grateful not only for meeting new people but also for making good friends. Hope they always have responsible and commited volunteers because they deserve it. Thank you Ana and Christian!

Hola :) my experience with Christian and Ana was very good. I've had such a great time there. The work is really fair and not to hard. Solemnly simple tasks like working with the machete or painting walls. You won't achieve new skills in gardening or maintenance but the working atmosphere is quite relaxed. You share a comfortable dorm with other volunteers. Sometimes the toilet doesn't work. There are great opportunities to spend your spare time, for example on the beach or the villages close to your location. You can surf, visit islands or enjoy cocktails at Puerto Lopez.

Christian and Ana are amazing hosts that take care of everything and eve gave me advice for future travel plans! The work changes daily and is always around maintenance of the hostel or other amenities. The place itself is pretty remote even from salando the town so it's something to consider - it's 15-20 min walk to get to the town and for puerto Lopez you need a bus/taxi. Still I felt that there was more than enough time for exploration and activities in the area. In my opinion this place is more suitable for pairs or groups

From the very start I felt so welcomed and at home. First volunteer experience and some of the work was pretty heavy but very rewarding. I loved that it was so isolated from the city it really forces you to get in touch with nature.

I had an amazing experience at the hostel! Ana and Christian are very nice, and always does their best to explain everything and make you feel welcome. The property is beautiful, with an amazing view. Definitely recommend if you like the ocean and a more quiet place:)
