Hostel placements are ideal for people needing to complete a student placement as part of their course or if you would like to simply lend a hand on a residential basis. Most placements are for 4-5 weeks with a maximum of 8 weeks depending on availability.
Please note that all hostel placements are on a voluntary basis and we do not enter into a contractual agreement with individuals or placing organizations. We recommend you purchase travel and medical insurance.
As part of our safeguarding measures, we require all candidates to submit a Criminal Record check from their home country. You cannot start volunteering with YHA or reside in our staff accommodation until this check has been returned to us. Please note that it's your responsibility to check if there is any cost associated with this.
