Program Details

Azul Wasi regularly receives volunteers from all over the world; all of whom feel it in their hearts to help and become part of our multicultural community!

If you are planning a trip to Peru, specifically the Cusco region, and are in search of a unique experience; keep on reading! Azul Wasi might be just the perfect fit for you!

Our team consists of just two full-time on-site people, which therefore means we are grateful for all the help we can get from our volunteers, whether that be chopping vegetables, fixing various things on the property, helping to look after the wide range of animals we keep, painting artwork on our walls or simply playing football with the kids in the sunshine.

Our volunteers are incredibly important to us and we look forward to welcoming you to our big friendly (and very fun) family :)

Activities & Shift

How does a normal day look at Azul Wasi?

Wake up at around 6:30 in order to help prepare and serve breakfast for the kids before they head off to school at 7:30. Then it's time to start preparing lunch/dinner, this will involve cutting vegetables, cleaning and other general kitchen work. If any volunteers wish to cook something for the kids themselves, they are more than welcome to find the ingredients they need in the town and/or use what ingredients we can offer, we would love this as this gives a chance for the kids to try food from all over the world!
Once the preparation for lunch and dinner is finished (usually around 10am although this is dependent on the number of volunteers) you have free time to spend how you wish.

We usually have lunch around 2pm, when the youngest kids come back from school, and afterwards you can spend the afternoon playing with the kids, helping them with their homework or even teaching them something new! The older kids come back around 3:30pm, and once they have had their lunch you are more than welcome to help them with their homework and/or teach them other things.

In the evening, after the various animals we have have been rounded up and put to bed, we have dinner together at around 7pm, and after that you are free to do as you wish.
