The experience

The children here are from backgrounds of extreme poverty, some have never been school before. We welcome you as a member of our project and thank you very much for giving your time, knowledge and experience to teach English to these children . Your decision to volunteer at our project is the hope of these Cambodian children.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 18 Per day

Description: We need help from our volunteers, teaching English to children and sharing videos from your time here on social media. We ask a volunteer to contribute $18 per day for private, air conditioned room. You will feel warm as a member of our family and enjoy the children here. Extras: - Food 3 meals $10 US per day (breakfast, lunch & dinner) - Swimming pool $10 US per week - Pick up fee - $5 from Siem Reap and $ 25 from the airport.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements

Beginner English or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

The schedule program work is 5 days or 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday on the morning at ( 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) and afternoon at 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM), 2 days off (Saturday & Sunday) is free time to discover our area around Siem Reap.

Activities & Shift


The Volunteer activities with our staffs local Khmer English teacher:

- To teach English (read, write and conversation), play games, conversational interaction
- Helping with continuing construction of school buildings (lay brick & pouring concrete) -
optional for the fit & strong.
- To help grow vegetables, gardening and cleaning environment
- A guided tour to local market
- To see sunset behind Aspire Home Stay
- Trip to country side, meeting extremely poor families of children in the community
- Watching traditional Khmer dance performances, shown by the children of Aspire
- To provide a certificate of appreciation

Rules

- Copy of passport, visa and medical insurance required
- Respect all school rules and child protection policy
- Wear a uniform and ID-care while teaching students (we have ourselves in Aspire)
