The experience

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Program Details

What you can expect:

In return:

We're looking for people who can commit to a minimum stay of 8 weeks. If you're social, hard working and enthusiastic about joining us, this opportunity is for you.

Activities & Shift

You will be expected to work in the Morning, Evening and on Night shifts as well following a fair shift plan. It could be that you will be helping in different areas of the hostel but it could also be that you will be doing the same shift times always. It will really depend on the need during your stay.

HOUSEKEEPING:
Our housekeeping tasks include cleaning the rooms, bathrooms, making the beds and making sure the whole hostel is always fresh & clean.

BAR:
Our bar tasks include serving drinks (beer, coffee), cleaning, socializing with the guests and making sure the bar, lounge and kitchen are always clean.

RECEPTION:
At the reception you will be checking guests in, answering questions and making sure the guests are welcomed with a positive attitude.

NIGHT WATCH:
On Fridays and Saturdays we might plan one volunteer to be on the "Night watch" shift. The tasks will include making sure the guests are quiet when they come back from the party, making sure they are following the house rules and making sure the hostel is clean.

While we're not a "party hostel," we do have our own bar and lounge where we occasionally host events and parties. Having a party or not, the lounge is also the heart of our place where we play games and enjoy ourselves. Additionally, being situated in the heart of the city means that all the "real party places" are just 2 minutes away, giving you plenty of options to choose from (if you're interested). We're also happy to assist you in any way possible so that you have time to explore the city and neighbouring countries. Just ask us anything!

- EU passport is required.

- During your shift, alcohol consumption is not permitted, and smoking is prohibited anywhere on the property.
