Never been to a place like this before, it was amazing. Had a really good time going around the island and seeing all of the cool spots, and the work-life balance was great too, plenty of time to relax and see the island. Really appreciate everything the hostel family did for me, and for accepting me into their home! Couldn't recommend enough for other travellers!

Incredibly positive, homely & vibrant vibe! I felt welcome & part of the hostel family the minute I walked in. It's also the cleanest hostel I've ever been. Your job is to keep it that way. Chores are simple yet to be done thoroughly. Workload depends on number of guests, but even on busy days there's time to explore. Be sure Bricin takes out the crew to visit local gems & thinks up other fun stuff. It was my first WP experience & I quote from the song chemical love: I don't have a rich enough vocabulary for all this praising : ) Thanks so much Bricin, Patricia, Billie, Cash! LOVE YOU GUYS!

My experience at the hostel was unique and enriching. It was great to get to know a part of Canada that was very different from the big cities. I had the opportunity to improve my English and make great friends. The Hostel has a family atmosphere, and Bricin and Patricia take very good care of the volunteers. I will miss the bonfires at night, the movies in the afternoon and the trails. Thank you for everything :)

The hostel is one magical place in the middle of nature, the people there make you part of the family, expect a lot of amazing adventures from going hiking to a mountain to walks on the beach! The work is the most easy thing ever, I had the opportunity to go in fall and it was so beautiful, I will never forget this experience that it was one of the best moments of my life! I am super thankful to Patricia and bricin for being so welcoming and supportive, I am really gonna miss them so much! I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience something new and amazing!

Yes, if you ever get the chance to be a part of the hostel family, do it!!! Bricin, Patricia, Billie, Cash, Peter and Yum Yum are the bestest. When you're here you're treated like a part of the family and you're treated to countless adventures and lesser know scenic spots that only locals know, in addition to the world famous Cabot Trail. The work is easy and you get the satisfaction of meeting and entertaining travelers from all over the globe. The hostel is also a museum to downhill skateboarding that people pilgrimage to from around the globe, a must visit if you're into skating.

To say that this experience was amazing is an understatement. Bricin and Patricia are the friendliest host family. I was provided with comfortable group accommodations and delicious meals. They really went above and beyond to make sure volunteers and guests had a great time. Bricin took us out on tours of the island and made bonfires at night. Chores were written on a white board and the tasks were easy to understand. This was a once in a lifetime travel work experience and I look forward to coming back one day.

The task are SUPER CHILL, it feels like if you did the CLEANING in your house DAILY, super EASY, This hostel is WONDERFUL, MUSIC INSTRUMENTS, BONFIRES EVERY NIGHT, MOVIES AS IF YOU WERE IN A CINEMA, UNFORGETTABLE PARTIES!!!!!!!!! IF YOU COOK FOR YOURSELF IS KIND COOK FOR EVERYONE TOO, IS A FAMILY ADVICE!!!!!! MEALS HERE ARE WOAO! SO DELICIOUS! A LOT OF SURPRISES, A LOOOT OF LAUGHS A LOT OF KINDNESS!!!!!!!! Bricin and Patricia made me feel welcome straight away into their hostel family. I can safely say I had the best three weeks with them and how well they looked after me through being sick and a hurricane!! I would 100% recommend to anyone to stay at the hostel because it is an experience you never going to have anywhere else. I'm going to miss their whole family so much and can't wait until I can go back and visit them!
