What you offer

24h

Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

The Experience

Staff handle daily Housekeeping (linen changes, bathroom cleaning, upkeep common spaces, guest laundry services, etc) & Front Desk (check-in guests, confirm reservations, check emails, respond to reviews, answer phones, etc). Staff also assist with events in our new ART ANNEX (marketing, planning, set-up, etc). We're building a creative community, so if you have ideas for cultural exchange, skill shares, and/or events, let's make it happen!

So many good things to say!! This was my first work exchange and the longest I'd yet been away from my home city, so thank you to everyone who made that an easy and exciting experience! I owe a lot of that thanks to Robert. He made me feel so welcome and is seriously one of the most generous people I've ever met. The hostel is in a great location, right in the middle of downtown and a 15 minute walk to Lake Superior. The lake is pretty cold but some of the cleanest natural water I've ever swam in! There's just enough to do in the city but it's never crowded, I really loved it here❤️

I absolutely LOVED working at the hostel! Robert is such a fun owner and so inviting! His family and friends quickly become your family and friends! I loved how healing it was to be there! The schedule is flexible & the work load is easy! He takes such great care of his staff and truly cares about the hostel! I plan on coming back one day because I had that much fun there!

Robert was an excellent boss to work for! So patient and understanding. The hours and work load was reasonable and the team helped out each other, which was nice. Duluth is a really interesting city and the guests offer interesting experiences.

Dulut is a great city by the beautiful lake Superior, we loved staying there! We got the chance to d all of the North Shore, wich is full of beautiful landscapes and it is must for everyone who enjoys nature. Staying in the hostel was awesome, everyone there is really friendly and Rob was a great host, always willing to help us with whatever we needed . Definily recomend this experience to everyone!
