Program Details

Our school is a lively and engaging environment where children are eager to learn. You may be asked to teach English, math, or science, but even if your strengths lie elsewhere, your enthusiasm and ability to communicate effectively in English will make a real difference. Beyond academics, games and sports are an important part of school life, so be ready to join in and have fun.
You will receive guidance on the curriculum and can shadow a teacher during your first few days. At the same time, we encourage you to bring your own ideas and actively participate in teaching. You will have the chance to personalize your classroom with your own rules and decorations, helping you grow as an educator while providing vital support to children who need it most.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers are expected to commit to five days a week at their placement. Each morning begins with a communal breakfast at the Director’s House, followed by school starting at around 9:30 am. Mornings are focused on teaching subjects, usually taught in half- hour.
Lunch takes place around 12:30 pm, giving you a chance to relax and connect with other volunteers. Afternoons include more classes, as well as recreational activities like games and sports, where your help in organizing and supervising is valued.
The school day usually wraps up around 5 pm, though your involvement may continue as the children enjoy spending time with you. Evenings are a chance to unwind, share dinner with fellow volunteers and the Director’ and take part in organized games and activities.
