Had a really wonderful experience here. very friendly and supportive culture that Thomas has created. and i got along with him really well. is a vary good chance to truly experience the jungle life. there's a lot more work and organization that still can go into this whole experience to make it even better. but if you are interested in a more natural way of life for a while i would definitely recommend it.

I had a great time at the farm. Being in the jungle was an ajustement at first but Thomas definitely helped with my paranoia of all the critters with his chillness around them lol. I loved our area that quickly became our home and the little community that we built. Thomas was very realistic with the work and didn't ask any more of us than what was agreed upon. He was there if we needed anything and was always down for a *somewhat* friendly game of cards. 😜 And of course without forgetting Zeus and Cory 🐶 the sweetest pups that I miss so much already! Thank you so much Thomas!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the farm, I felt very welcomed by the group I volunteered with and learned a lot about the culture in Peru, construction and farming by Thomas. At first I was a bit surprised as it wasn't what I was expecting, there's a big element of independence with living and working, as contact with Thomas can vary seeing as he's a very busy man. But as long as you fulfil ur role in the team things will run smoothly. Everything is different and u have to adapt but once ur settled, you'll fall in love with place and be sad to go.

I bonded with the others volunteering there a ton because of the independent work structure the host set up at the farm. The host is a big believer in figuring things out, so he doesn't give much instruction and doesn't always supervise much. It was a way for me to get out of my comfort zone, and I don't feel like his expectations were too high that doing our best on our own produced work he was unsatisfied with. We had much more control over how we spent our weekends than I anticipated, and I liked having that leeway. The living quarters were as comfortable as you can get in the jungle.

We really enjoyed this experience! We were 16 volunteers and a small community was created that worked very well. The tasks were varied and we had the freedom to choose what we wanted to do (from construction, to planting and cloning trees, to cleaning and cooking). There was a lot of variety of food and in good quantities! In our free moments we could go to the river (5 minutes walk), take tours in the jungle, go to Huapo (local community) and much more...

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was warmly welcomed by Thomas (and Zeus 🐶) who I both got along with very well. During the time Thomas has spent in the jungle, he has constructed something pretty incredible; both the hostel & several other projects, but also the vibe which comes with staying at the farm. The contract is followed rigidly, and Thomas never expects anything more than you agreed on. We also usually went down to the river to cool off after a very warm day! 5 ⭐️ Thank you, Thomas 💪

The place is beautiful, the rivers and waterfalls around are amazing, the working hours are respected and Thomas is such a nice person who likes a nice chatting, playing games, teaching and showing us around. I appreciate ❤️ Negative thing: Food policy. That's ok we have limited variety of food, we can be creative, but, when we asked for bread and tomato sauce, he said we should make our own. Not fair since we are paying for food. Sometimes after work we want to eat easy, not baking or making sauce that takes time. The quality of coffee and rice provided where bad. We bought it separately.

I try to explain to everyone in detail that we are deep in the jungle and we always try to chose natural and local food sources for health, sustainability and at times a lack of availability. For many of our volunteers cooking together to make creative meals is one of their favorite experiences while here. We buy our coffee and rice from local producers right here in the jungle. Allan was unique in some of his preferences and demands while here.

My time at the farm was incredible, I really enjoyed my time there as I got to be surrounded by amazing travelers and friends who became a family to me!! Thomas is such an amazing guy and very chill, the work varies from day to day and the whole time he tried to give us a lot of useful techniques for better work! The place is wonderful & is amazing to be in the jungle. Huapo is such a beautiful place and I really really recommend coming here if you feel the call. Thank you again for everything, I take beautiful memories from my time there and such amazing souls I met along the way!
