I had an amazing time at the hostel! It was my first volunteering experience and it did not disappoint : the shifts are pretty easy (mainly cleaning/reception/bar) and leave a lot of free time to explore the surrounding of Faro and meet others travelers. All the members of the staff are super nice and the others volunteers became real friends. As a volunteer, you will have others advantages as a free surf lesson/ a free tour to the beautiful Benagil caves and others discounts... I definitely recommend!

This was my first worldpackers volunteering and it was a wonderful experience! The hostel is graceful and placed in a convenient position. The work is 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, and it can be cleaning in the morning, reception/bar in the evening and the night shift. The volunteers sleep in a 5 people staff room (it's possible that a new volunteer has to spend the first few nights in a different room). The team is very nice and ready to help you when you need anything, while the other volunteers became a second family to me. I definetly recommend everyone to volunteer at the hostel!

I had such a great time at the hostel! The place is beautiful and very welcoming. I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers and the guests and I've had some very good conversations with the staff members, it's such a cool team! For me as an introvert it was a challenge to share a room with four others and being around people all the time, but it was also a great learning opportunity. I liked Faro very much, it's calm and there's a lot of beautiful places to explore. I also recommend to take advantage of the things you can do for free or get a discount on, the surfing class was great!

Had a fantastic month in Faro, it is the quiet part of the season so it was a very zen. The hours go as 8-13pm -morning shift which is cleaning the rooms, 7-12am -evening shift can be bar or reception, the night shift which is 12am-7am. There is a lot of flexibility on hours, if you wish to swap etc and I appreciated that our free time was our free time. The hostel is really central, it has a bike for short trips and there are different activities that you can sign up for eg. Surfing just ask reception. All in all it was a lovely month and Jennifer was a gracious host, as was the rest of them!

Volunteering at the hostel was my first hostel volunteering experience. I can 100% recommend going to the hostel. The standards for everything are good and fair and the work hours are respected really well. The staff members and volunteers were great and there is plenty of laughter between everyone and that greatly affected my own spirit. I felt like I had more energy than normal and that is due to the nice atmosphere created in the hostel. Jennifer is a great host and easy to communicate with in my experience. I would love to come back to the hostel if my travels bring me back to Portugal again!

The hostel was my first volunteering experience outside my country and it was just great. The hostel is clean, very beautiful and convenient. Its location is great and make everything accessible. The staff is very nice and helpful The other volunteers were so kind and i quickly felt that it was like a small family Everybody tries to help each other. Jennifer was really nice and patient, and made sure i was confortable during my stay . The volunteer room is big enough for 5 people The shifts are good and respect the hours. I really loved my experience and i can only recommand it

The hostel is amazing, super clean and tidy. The room was comfy and we had AC, much needed in summer. Everything was super organised and Jennifer was flexible with dates. The only bad thing was I didn't enjoyed my shifts, I was doing night shift and I thought it was going to be better, I have done it before and it was chill. Here I had to clean the whole hostel alone and it was too much and boring, it doesn't make easy the fact of being awake until 7. I think my colleagues that did other shift enjoyed it more. Doing just night shift it may be too much. But hostel is gorgeous and well located!

I had an amazing month at the hostel! The hostel is one of the most beautiful I've stayed in and everything is well taken care of. The staff is amazing as well. I've had the best time with everyone and I miss them already! There are 3 shifts (excluding night shift); reception, cleaning and bar. All of the shifts are fair and you get a good introduction to everything. The volunteer room is really homey and with a private bathroom which is really nice. I recommend the hostel and Faro to everyone! Don't hesitate to apply!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! The hostel is beautiful, right in the centre of Faro and it has a great vibe as well. Everyone who worked there was really friendly and I felt welcome and included immediately. I really made some great connections during the month that I spent there. The working hours and our benefits were exactly as communicated in advance and the work was really fun to do. I would definitely recommend working here!
