Jungle Adventures in the Atlantic Rainforest.
The experience
Assist with the maintenance of our jungle trails, opening new wild camping sites, build bamboo fences, curral, care for our organic vegetable & seedlings bank, who would enjoy living in a treehouse with an outdoor br, but with electricity, high speed internet and a double bed for two. Also, can harvest and prepare their own forest food or bring them & take care of all their needs independently.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Beginner English or Beginner Portuguese
Between 26 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
We're a jungle campgrounds with wild camping spaces & dorms on the Mantiqueira Mountains, within the Atlantic Rainforest. We offer a treehouse with a double size bed for your stay with an outdoor bathroom, which os shared with Campgrounds visitors. Feel free to also bring your own tent and Camp around the day use area or the main house where the Hosts reside. Our private home is NOT open for Volunteers.
Feel free to explore the jungle accompanied by other campers, Volunteers or us, the hosts, but NEVER go to the jungle alone.
You're 💯 per cent responsible for purchasing and/or harvesting all your meals supplies and preparations, thus
we request that you work 4 hours a day, instead of 5 hours to compensate.
We'll be pleased to guide you in the jungle showing what is safe to eat and also how to prepare wild foods.
The forest is rich with different seasonal foods, which we'll guide you to ensure tou harvest and prepare what is safe to be eaten by us. All your meals will be your responsibility to bring your supplies of foods, condiments and to prepare them.
You can choose to use a propane or a wood stove to prepare your meals in the outdoor community kitchen.🔥
Please the kitchen clean and organized at all times.
Below is a list of various types of work you would be able to be involved based on the season and your preferences, whenever possible:
Maintainnance of our outdoor campgrounds' kitchen, bathrooms, keep varandas, sauna, natural swimming pool and mend our organic vegetable garden, DIY projects. Planting trees, Reforestation, Bamboo harvesting and DIY carpentry, fences, curral, roofing, and other bio or conventional construction projects.
Activities & Shift
Day time only
Start time in am.. (Flexible)
Each person works for 4hrs a day with independent tasks.
You have the choice to take 2 full days off after 5 days worked or take 1 day off each 3 days worked.
Rules
Be pleasant towards hosts, guests and other volunteers.
Be cooperative.
When things are not working up to your expectations, please express your concerns politely.
Be respectful of people's and guest's fridge spaces.
Clean after yourself at the kitchen, bathrooms, varandas, day use area, etc...
