The experience

We are looking for awesome, highly motivated and flexible Legends to Support our team. This year we are taking the reigns of our sister surf school and need extra helping hands whilst we figure the surf school out.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate German

Between 20 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

We are looking for awesome people to join our team and provide an epic service and experience to our guests. starting March 15th 2022

Activities & Shift

The right person for our team will be super flexible but have set weekly shifts.
one day you might be support for the housekeeper, one day you might be a bar tender, one day you might be on breakfast shift.
we are a small hostel of 28 beds so super intimate happy vibes are our ethos. we are not a party hostel but atmosphere is paramount.

Rules

We operate a go to the beach, go to the bars or go to bed curfew after 11.30pm so as much as we want you to have an great experience with us, we need people we can trust to not stay up at the hostel all night starting parties and trashing the place. yes you will be cleaning toilets at some point and yes you will be drinking cocktails with our guests on our sun terrace. we really are a family at banana beach house and we understand that a volunteer position is not a career goal for anyone. That said this position is not just a free stay for a few weeks in the sun. We have hard working legends from last year that started in may 2021 as volunteers that are now on our paid staff that are still here working with us.
