Leyber is not only an amazing host, but a brother as well. From the day I showed up, I felt like a part of the family. He cares a lot about your experience as a volunteer and will make sure that everyone's happy! The work isn't difficult at all, and you'll have plenty of free time. The coliving itself is an awesome place, full of positive, open-minded travelers. It's a very social and inclusive environment, so you'll always be welcome to join all sorts of group activities. Mountains, black sand beaches, community, Canarian culture, it's all here in Tenerife. I will definitely be coming back!

My experience at the coliving was pretty good. Leyber was nice enough but (maybe just at the time that I was there) he seemed to lack the motivation to engage with volunteers/other travellers and he seemed a little burnt out. Most of the work was to clean the house every day, which you'll have to be comfortable being asked to do without receiving many please & thank yous or much explanation on how to do the tasks correctly. Also, Tenerife isn't easy to access by foot. It's about a 45 minute walk to Puerto de la Cruz from the coliving and it's 1-2.5 hrs of bussing each way if you want to go farther.

The coliving is located in a beautiful area and the house itself is really nice! :) I worked 3 days a week for 4 hours and 2 days for 6 hours. Even though the working hours are always respected, you got to expect to really work your full hours! The tasks can also be really personal, you need to da lot for Leyber… Leyber has a precise idea of how the tasks should be done. His way of communicating sometimes makes it feel more like fulltime job, as he also texts you during your free time. Just be prepared to take a lot of responsibility! Nevertheless, you meet great people, had lots of fun :)

Loved my experience at the coliving. House is cozy and well located so you can easly get around the island to explore. If you like nature this place is perfect as you have so many beautiful views, hikings and beach days to enjoy :D Not that many going out options tho. Leyber is a nice host, flexible with tasks and working hours, always open to any suggestion. He was also very understanding with me working my remote job alongside volunteering which i apreciated very much. I also met interesting, fun people and we did a lot of activities together and connect. Overall, times were great there! :)

All in all, I had a pretty good first Worldpackers experience. There were not many guests, so there were not many group activities. I was mainly responsible for cleaning up the coliving space and Leybers stuff. I had two days off a week to see the beautiful island and otherwise worked 4 or 6 hours a day. Leyber is very friendly host, always offers to do things with him and is very flexible about working hours. The coliving space is beautifully located in a quiet area. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone who likes to meet new people but also wants to spend time alone.

Leyber is a truly lovely host he is very flexible with working hours if there is something you have planned and always made me feel comfortable and safe. The location is great with many things to do and see around the area in Puerto De la Cruz! I would recommend the coliving to anyone who is planning on travelling solo as I met so many great people on my trip and almost forgot I was on a solo trip!

Felt very welcome here, Leyber is a host that always make sure that everyone is happy. He always has things to recommend if you ask him to experience local things on the island. There was some renovation work when I was there so a little less group activities, but nevertheless a great experience altogether.

Staying at the coliving felt like being part of a family, I even extended my stay there! The work is fair and the 2 days off in a row are great to explore the island and rest. You really get to immerse in the culture, and try amazing local food which is really nice! Leyber is a great host and even person, he's open to suggestions to improve the work which allows you to really feel like at home!

I had a really amazing time at the coliving, the location of the coliving is great with access to the local towns and shops. The host Leyber was welcoming and makes a conscious effort to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves. There were lots of really fun group activities giving both volunteers and guests opportunities to bond. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're keen to learn about Canarian culture and throw yourself into new adventures. In terms of the work it was not overwhelming and the host was extremely respectful and understanding when it came to hours and days off.
