Program Details

We ask our volunteers to help either the morning shift or afternoon shift for four days in a row. That means they have three days off in a row to explore nearby areas. We ask for help with reception tasks and guest interaction. This is a highly social role as we ask volunteers to help guests feel welcome. We have a varied working team that is a mix of volunteers and local employees.

Activities & Shift

Activities include reception tasks, checking guests in, answering their questions, showing their rooms and making them feel welcome. The morning shift will help with breakfast and bed making and the evening shift is more social. From time to time we may have special house projects like painting or gardening that the volunteer might help with. One night on their streak of shifts, we ask volunteers to cook for the team (4-5 people maximum). We do provide all other meals for the volunteer either by cooking for them, taking them out to a restaurant, or providing ingredients for them to cook for themselves.

Rules

We provide the volunteer with a bed in a dorm and breakfast and ingredients to make lunch and dinner. Usually you will be making lunch and dinner together with our local team and other volunteers. Twice a week we will cook dinner for you.
