Program Details

Torridon House is transforming into a small creative hub in the Highlands — a place where artists, makers, and purpose-driven travelers come to disconnect, create, and help us build the next chapter of this historic estate.

Now we are looking for travelers that can help us with:

- Repair and maintenance projects around the estate.
- Small construction or woodwork tasks.
- General property organization.
- Housekeeping support for the B&B

We welcome all types of creatives (musicians, writers, artists, photographers, designers), as well as people with skills in digital marketing, content creation, or community building who want to help us promote the project and grow our network.

In exchange for about 25 hours/week, volunteers join a diverse, international team, enjoy shared meals, and get time to work on their own projects while living in one of the most beautiful and peaceful landscapes in Scotland.

If you’re looking for a meaningful winter experience — part creativity, part hands-on work, part community — Torridon is the place.

Activities & Shift

At Torridon Estate, volunteers help with a mix of daily tasks that keep the house running and support our transition into a small creative hub in the Highlands. Activities can include housekeeping, laundry, cottages, general maintenance, and occasional special projects depending on the needs of the week.

Shifts usually follow a simple structure (breakfast, daytime shifts, or project-based tasks), but we always keep things flexible so everyone can enjoy their time here, learn new skills, and contribute in a way that feels fair and balanced.

Our goal is to make this a meaningful winter experience where we all work together, support each other, and help shape the new vision of Torridon.

Rules

Empathy & Balance: We maintain a fair exchange. We give our best to you, and we expect a professional, proactive attitude in return.

Team First: We are a multicultural crew. Being a "good teammate" means being reliable and willing to help others, even if the task is outside your main creative role.

Communication: All daily tasks are managed via WhatsApp. Checking the "Daily Ops" message is mandatory.

Respect the Space: We live in a historic estate and a family home. Cleanliness in common areas and respect for the private family wings are non-negotiable.

Proactive Spirit: Don't just wait for instructions. If you see something that needs fixing or a design that could be better—take the lead!
