It was a wonderful experience, I got to know so many amazing people with whom I share many memories now, the nuns are really nice, the place in general is magical and the atmosphere you live in is perfect for a growing up experience, I learn a lot about buddism but also about the project. Food was really good and schedule was always respected. At this time of the year when finishing work hours the day was already dark and you couldn't do much outside but there is a volunteers room in where you can hang out with people.

The center was a beautiful and amazing experience, I spent 2 weeks at household and I really enjoyed both my tasks and the group of volunteers who were with me. Household gave me the chance to explore part of the castle that I would never have been able to see in other areas, the tasks were dynamic and made the day go by very quickly, plus Thourya and Susan were very warm when explaining the tasks and I will always carry them in my heart 🩵. I totally recommend 🌸

This experience was spectacular, and I felt comfortable and calm during my stay at the center. I also learned a lot and met wonderful people from the staff and volunteers. The castle and the place where the center is located are surrounded by nature and are close to the beach. I enjoyed walking because I always found stunning landscapes that gave me peace. Thank you to the project Ulverston Center because they made my experience unforgettable. I recommend this experience for those who want to share with other volunteers and have a space to take a break for thinking.

Great experience! The idea of living with so many people around for the entire month was my challenge in the beginning, but as soon I meet the other volunteers and residents it turned into an easy going living. The Center itself it's a huge and beautiful building and provides everything we need. I worked in the Cafe and I learned much there. Also I had classes and the project sessions almost everyday and that part was the big point to me, helped me a lot to improve my the project practicing . Be prepared for long walks to town, not uber and only a few taxis around. Super recommend!

I would definitely recommend this experience to anybody - everybody at the project is super kind and welcoming. I loved working in the cafe and learning new skills, supervisors are patient and willing to let you try new things. It's great place to meet people from all over the world, be in a beautiful and peaceful environment and learn the project. The walk into Ulverston takes 45 minutes but it's a cute town with buses that take you to the Lakes District. 100% recommend ❤️

I could not have asked for a better first experience with traveling abroad and volunteering. The location itself is gorgeous, with easy access to nearby Lake District towns and plenty of scenery at the project itself (the castle, beach, countryside, etc...). I felt so safe, comfortable, and loved here. Working in the art studio was so inspiring, as it was a perfect blend of design, artistry, and spirituality. They also offer fantastic Buddhist teachings and meditations throughout the whole week. Lastly, I met amazing people from all over the world that will always have a place in my heart.

My time at the project was beautiful! I met some of the most incredible people, learned a lot about buddhism and myself, and found an incredible space to rest. They have delicious food daily, comfortable beds, kind supervisors, and a beautiful location surrounded by sea and woodland. Many of the volunteers I met there were on their 3rd or 4th visit, and I absolutely understand the urge to return! A wonderful experience overall :)

My experience at the project in Ulverston was a very rewarding experience where I was able to learn about modern Buddhism, something that was totally unknown to me. The surroundings are very beautiful, the monks and nuns are very kind. We even went out a couple of times to do meditations in nearby villages. There is a temple where you can do the project classes. Here you will eat vegan food and in my case I worked in a cafeteria where I was able to work as a barista and other functions, I met new friends from all over the world that I will always carry in my heart. Thank you the project, I r

It was a great experience, it can be summed up in a lot of food, that was pure happiness for me 🤩 I was in the Art Studio department 🎨 the managers are beautiful people, especially Lupe, I loved it 🎖️ beautiful everywhere and the other people who are in the Art Studio too, they comply with the schedules and with the food 🥗 you are far from the town but the other volunteers make this place beautiful, I will upload the videos to my Instagram so you can see how great it was @yamelinkbb 🤗 simply Thank you the project.
