I totally recommend this volunteering. I had the possibility to help in the Art Studio. My experience was great! The schedules and the tasks were as they had agreed. The accommodation is very confortable and the place is beautiful, many places near to explore. The people is very kind and you can meet many travelers and community people. If you are interested in to learn about the project Buddhism you are allow to attend the classes amd retreats that they guve to the local community. I'm really grateful for this beautiful stay. Tsalden is very kind and will welcome you with a smile 😃.

Staying at the Mandziuśri the project Center was a unique and enriching experience. It's a peaceful place to immerse in Buddhist practice and the project. The work, though not hard, can be physically demanding, so energy for classes varies. The surroundings are stunning, and the community is warm and welcoming. Dorms are modest, so pack light. A perfect spot for those seeking deeper spiritual connection. Wholeheartedly recommended!

If you want to immerse yourself into Buddhism, this is the place to be! You can participate in almost everything that they offer at the center, so it is a great opportunety to learn more about Buddhism and practice the project. However, the work during daytime can be a little bit physical demanding (not difficult), so it is not always you have the energy to participate in as much as you want. The temple and its location is absolutely stunning. The people you meet (both monks/ nuns and volunteers) are all very friendly. The dorms are big, 6 or 9 bunkbeds in quite small rooms, so pack light.

My experience as a volunteer at the project was truly enriching. I discovered a culture that was completely new to me and connected with amazing people from all over the world. Although the tasks can be quite demanding and the workday can get a bit tiring, at least in my experience as part of household team (6 hours of work spread out between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.), the people, the surroundings, and the sense of peace and calm make it all worthwhile. Highly recommended!

My time at the project was truly amazing. It was a few weeks of hard work, yes, but also full of learning, joy, fun, and a deep connection with enjoyment and nature. The place is very well organized: tasks are clearly explained, everything is tidy and clean, and things flow smoothly. I'm also leaving with beautiful memories of a wonderful group of volunteers, with whom I shared unforgettable moments. I highly recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone looking for a meaningful and enriching experience. Many thanks to the Buddhist Center for such a warm and welcoming experience.

My time in the project was unforgettable. I'm very glad for this opportunity, the group of volunteers is huge so is very good to know people and make new friends. I really appreciate how we emerged in the buddhist teachings, if we are open to that. The cafe was very busy, we really work hard, but i learned a lot about this work and the team also was good, so the time was good as well. The surroundings are full of nature and i was very impressed with the beauty in the lake district. Walking in the woods is always a good idea. Thank you so much!

I really liked my experience at the center. It's a very beautiful and peaceful place where you can learn more about Buddhism and the project. I worked at the café, it was really nice to be part of this team and the cafe manager was really patient and kind. I'm really grateful for all the kind people I met there!

I spent three weeks in the kitchen area. Without a doubt, both the coordinator and the people I was with were fantastic. In the kitchen the main task is cutting and cleaning, but being with more people makes it very enjoyable. Everything you are asked to do is easy to do and they are always very nice. My three weeks were very short and I was very sad to leave. I can't put anything to improve, I learnt a lot about Buddhism and the people are very open and friendly. I highly recommend going and I will never forget this trip 🤩🤩

MKMC was my first volunteering experience on Worldpackers—and truly unforgettable. Nestled in a magical forest near the coast, the project felt like something from a fairy tale. I initially applied for the art studio but was placed in the café, which I absolutely loved. The environment was fun, dynamic, and very social. The highlight was meeting an incredible group of volunteers from around the world and forming lasting friendships. I planned to stay two weeks but extended—I simply didn't want to leave!
