The project village is an amazing place if you want to enjoy yourself with other likeminded people and learn about gardening and sustainability. Lele is a very kind man. He cooks very well too! The day is very relaxed. You wake up and do some work after breakfast. After lunch you do some more work, and there are two free days a week. In those two days you can do boat or hiking tours nearby! Or you can just relax with the dogs. There are various tasks in the village, from building or repairing huts, to gardening or picking fruits. It is a lot of fun and I hope I can come back someday!

I had an amazing stay at the village! I made some great friends during my time there and also met many locals and experienced Thai culture. There is always work to be done, however, the work is self-driven and you won't be working in bad weather. Lele was very understanding if we wanted a day off to go to Khao Sok or anywhere else. The food was delicious and healthy. Fruits, veggies, and eggs were all from the farm. He cooked a mix of Italian and Thai food. The village is in the jungle so bring long pants and shirts, and bug spray!

One mont and a half in the project and I highly recommend to everyone this experience. You'll learn about permaculture and you'll be surrounded by nature every time. There are a lot of different tasks to do in the village so you will always have something to do, it's hard working with the sun but it's completely worth it, seeing how the village is improving Lele is an amazing chef (you're gonna try the best pineapples ever and the best pumpkin cream ever) and all the people I met in the village made my stance much better. They are amazing everyone ¡¡Bring enough mosquito repellent!!

Mangiareeeeeeeee! Spending a month in the middle of nature, working with people committed to the same purpose and learning about permaculture with Lele, was essential to make my experience even richer. The village is located in a relatively isolated region, but you will never feel alone if you are open to making new friends. The work is intense, as it is not a summer camp. So, if you are thinking of applying for this volunteer role, be aware that you will need to have a lot of energy. I already miss the wonderful food prepared by our Italian chef. I strongly recommend this place!

Living at Gaarawé Village is a must do experience that introduced me to the permaculture lifestyle and allowed me to meet local people. I didn't feel like a tourist but welcomed by everyone I met. You'll get back a different person after learning so much!

I spent one month at Garawee and I really loved it. If you want to get the full nature experience, Garawee is the place to go. It isn't everything fully organized, but this make this place even more adorable. There is a big variety of tasks to do and they are even for unexperienced people affordable. Just try everything out. I'm sure some tasks will fit for you. And for your free time, you have a great community with other volunteers here. Therefore you won't be lonely here and also get some travel buddies here. I can recommend Garawee and the Wi-Fi is even better than in many hotels.

My first experience and my expectations were more than met. You will find yourself in this wonderful thai farm, living a peaceful life, as a kind of spiritual retreat in nature. Lele is the italian responsible who runs and constantly improves many aspects of the village with the precious help of volunteers. He is an expert about permaculture and can help you change some parts of your way of thinking towards a more eco-friendly way. An important part of the experience is the community: you live all day with 5-15 people, creating geat relationships and there's time for some fun hikes.
