What an amazing place to work! João and the entire team of volunteers made this such an easy place to work and learn Portuguese. the hostel quickly felt like a second home, which I'd return to in a heartbeat. The work is easy, although the hours are long, but I do feel like I still got to do everything I wanted to in Rio. If you have the opportunity, come work here! It's a great way to live the way locals do and the location is quite good and absolutely very safe!

I couldn't expect better for a first volunteering. The hostel in the hostel is calm, with João, the gerent and the other volunteers, we always worked in a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. The Tasks are fairly and equally distribuated between the volunteers. The communication is Fluid and everybody is flexible. Thank you very much for this great month. Cynthia

This was an amazing experience to learn about the hostel Community! I broke some paradigms about Favelas and really enjoy the environment of a hostel in Rio! I would repeat this experience for sure and thanks to Joao that is an amazing leader! Thanks 😊

This was my first Worldpackers experience. I wasn't really sure what to expect staying in a favela or volunteering. It turned out to be a positive experience for me. The place was stunning well organized well kept. I don't think you'll get a better view in Rio for the price. Great people great vibes great place.

Minha primeira experiência como voluntário foi muito especial e cheia de aprendizados. O the hostel tem um ambiente acolhedor e uma troca cultural incrível, o que me permitiu melhorar muito meu português. O João foi um excelente gerente, sempre disponível e atencioso. Há pontos a melhorar, como algumas reformas e a falta de ar condicionado no quarto dos voluntários, o verão no RJ é muito quente, mas nada disso comprometeu a experiencia Levo comigo muitas amizades, carinho e um forte sentimento de comunidade. Muito obrigado por tudo!

Adorei minha experiência no hostel, durante minha estada, os demais voluntários eram muito legais, o João (gerente) é super cordial e educado. A Vista do hostel é ESPETACULAR e viver na comunidade também é uma experiência muito boa, os preços de insumos básicos e serviços são baixos, está próximo de pontos de interesse na zona sul, a galera é amigável e achei bastante seguro, mais até do que no asfalto. Minha única ressalva é com relação a estrutura do hostel (há muitas coisas precisando de manutenção, troca ou restauro com urgência). Todavia, são itens que conseguimos contornar no dia a dia
