What an amazing place to work! João and the entire team of volunteers made this such an easy place to work and learn Portuguese. the hostel quickly felt like a second home, which I'd return to in a heartbeat. The work is easy, although the hours are long, but I do feel like I still got to do everything I wanted to in Rio. If you have the opportunity, come work here! It's a great way to live the way locals do and the location is quite good and absolutely very safe!

I couldn't expect better for a first volunteering. The hostel in the hostel is calm, with João, the gerent and the other volunteers, we always worked in a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. The Tasks are fairly and equally distribuated between the volunteers. The communication is Fluid and everybody is flexible. Thank you very much for this great month. Cynthia

This was an amazing experience to learn about the hostel Community! I broke some paradigms about Favelas and really enjoy the environment of a hostel in Rio! I would repeat this experience for sure and thanks to Joao that is an amazing leader! Thanks 😊

This was my first Worldpackers experience. I wasn't really sure what to expect staying in a favela or volunteering. It turned out to be a positive experience for me. The place was stunning well organized well kept. I don't think you'll get a better view in Rio for the price. Great people great vibes great place.

O hostel foi uma experiência transformadora pra mim. Foi o lugar que me tirou da zona de conforto, me fez viver coisas novas, conhecer pessoas diferentes e ver o mundo de outra maneira. Indico pra quem quer se abrir pro novo, sair da bolha e sentir a vida de um jeito mais leve e real. Estou renovando minha estadia porque esse lugar abraça a gente de um jeito especial. O João e a Clê são super atenciosos e sempre dispostos a ajudar, e isso faz muita diferença no dia a dia!

Foi minha primeira experiência como voluntaria e foi linda demais. Ficar em Rio é sempre uma beleza, mas se sentir em casa na favela é outra história. o the hostel tem uma equipe incrível, os anfitriões são super simpáticos e os voluntários são muito gentis. Pratiquei bastante meu portugués e inglês. Os hóspedes e voluntários interagimos bastante; sempre há algo para fazer em boa companhia. Recomendo muito e espero voltar.
