The experience

This program in Uganda provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to work with animals like Dogs, Cats, Pigs and Poultry. This is a chance to learn about animals; and veterinary medicine in general and specifically about animal care in Uganda.

Activities cut across handling animals and animal feeds, diagnosis and treatment of tropical animal diseases, filling and keeping animal records and handling medicines.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Beginner English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

This program in Uganda provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to work with animals like Cows, Dogs and Poultry. This is a chance to learn about animals; and veterinary medicine in general and specifically about animal care in Uganda.

Activities cut across handling animals and animal feeds, diagnosis and treatment of tropical animal diseases, filling and keeping animal records and handling medicines. No prior experience is required. International volunteers should bring gloves, work boots and lab coats.

Because there is so much to do, work is available for skilled and unskilled volunteers and is a great fit for students, professionals and families.

Farm volunteer work will be available Monday – Fridays from as early as 8:00 am to approximately 5:30.pm. If you would like a shorter day we can organize this. We want you to be totally immersed.
