It was my first time using World Packers and I loved it!! I volunteered in Portugal and it was a natural and beautiful place What a lovely place for FARO. People are kind and animals are cute, so it's healing. My host was perfect. My host always has a good smile that makes me feel good in the morning. I was so happy while I was in Portugal. I don't think I'll forget it. I want to go to Portugal again🤗🤗🤗

My stay in Alvor was good. Cristina was a bit strict, I didn't always like the way she communicated, but she didn't do it with bad intentions. I appreciate that we really worked the hours we were supposed to, and mostly less, never more. The accommodation we had was very nice. However, it's also true that we lived 20 minutes away from work and had to walk there, as no one gave us a ride by car... but Cristina did drive the other volunteers who worked at different times (because she was going to work as well), so it depends on the shift you get. Overall, i really enjoyed it there

My friend and I spent a week volunteering in Alvor. Cristina welcomed us warmly, and the work—cleaning and mopping flats—was manageable, though some rules were ineffective, and supplies were lacking. We worked until 1 p.m. daily and stayed in a house 20 minutes from Ardemar, so we had to wake up early as no transport was provided. The house was comfortable with a good bathroom and kitchen, though we were uneasy about the doors being unlocked at night. Breakfast was the same food served to guests, and we could take from the fridge. Alvor is beautiful, but one week is just enough:))

I was in Alvor for three weeks and really enjoyed it. Cristina is a very caring person and the other people I met there were also very nice. The Work was fair, I worked for 4 hours a day. The 7th day was off. I think if I had'nt met other volunteers there the three weeks would be a bit boring because after some time you have seen everything in Alvor. But I really enjoyed my time and would recommend it!

The location of Alvor is perfect and there is enough to do in the area. My experience with Christina was great. She was nice and welcoming. We did have the advantage of staying in the house where you can cook and wash your clothes. I do think that it's unfair to the volunteers who end up in the guesthouse. So we're lucky that we got the best experience that was possible. It would help a lot if the cleaning supplies would be upgraded to do the tasks well. The other volunteers were very kind and fun to be around. They made this experience amazing for me. Thanks to them and Christina. :D

Samin and I stayed in Alvor for 2,5 weeks and I really enjoyed it. We were lucky to stay in the volunteer house and to start at 10 am every day. The work was easy, although I would definitely recommend Christina to buy some better cleaning equipment, like a new vacuum. The other volunteers that we met made this experience even better. Thank you!

We had such a great time in alvor! Christina made us feel welcome and the work was totally fine aswell! The work is mostly cleaning and was around 3h a day but that depends which shift u get, there a longer ones aswell. The house we lived in was well equipped and nice, even had a pool. The other option for the volunteers to stay in is not as good equipped tho, only has a microwave to cook in. Alvor is a nice town, not too big so the beaches are not too crowded. There are some options to have drinks but no night clubs All in all we had a really good time, thank you Christina for having us ?

Alvor is a very beautiful place and the other volunteers were very kind and warm. We had a good time after working. The place i had to stay was horrible, it was unhygienic and i had to sleep in a room with a 40 year old man in a room. Two nights i was alone with him. There was no stove, so i couldn't cook. In my perspective Christina saw us as cheap workers and not as people. There were so many rules.

At Alvor Ardemar, I learned a lot about my capacity. I was assigned to the kitchen, working about 5 hours daily, mainly preparing the buffet and cleaning, which was challenging due to the extensive areas covered by one person. There was an imbalance compared to room cleaners, who often finished earlier. Despite this, the experience was beneficial, especially for improving my English and Spanish, thanks to the diverse, multicultural volunteer group. I cherish the memories and the rewarding time I spent there ! So yeah as my first experience, I would recommend it.
