Your Role as a Volunteer

Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Program Details
1. Descripción del Programa
El programa de voluntariado en Garay Otavo es una iniciativa cultural y educativa enfocada en fomentar el desarrollo artístico, musical y comunitario en niños y jóvenes. Su objetivo es proporcionar un espacio enriquecedor donde puedan explorar su creatividad, mejorar sus habilidades y fortalecer su sentido de comunidad.
2. Responsabilidades del Voluntario
El Voluntario se compromete a:
Participar activamente en las actividades del programa, según sus habilidades e intereses.
Cumplir con el horario y las tareas asignadas.
Respetar las normas y valores de la Organización.
Mantener una actitud de respeto, colaboración y compromiso con la comunidad.
Asistir de lunes a jueves, según el horario establecido.
Preparar su propia comida, almuerzo proporcionado de lunes a jueves.
3. Responsabilidades de la Organización
La Organización se compromete a:
Proporcionar un ambiente seguro y adecuado para el desarrollo de las actividades.
Ofrecer orientación y apoyo al Voluntario durante su estancia.
Suministrar el almuerzo de lunes a jueves.
Brindar alojamiento básico en las instalaciones del programa.
Facilitar la integración del Voluntario en la comunidad.
4. Duración y Horarios
El Voluntario se compromete a cumplir con una estadía mínima de 2 semanas, con un horario de lunes a jueves de 2pm a 8pm. El horario específico se determinará según las necesidades del programa y las habilidades del Voluntario.
5. Código de Conducta
El Voluntario debe:
Actuar con respeto y responsabilidad en todo momento.
Seguir las indicaciones del personal de la Organización.
No discriminar ni actuar de manera irrespetuosa con la comunidad o con otros voluntarios.
Activities & Shift
Activities and Shifts
Volunteers will participate in various activities according to their skills and interests, including:
Music & Arts: Assisting in music workshops, teaching basic instruments, and organizing artistic activities.
Education & Mentorship: Helping children with schoolwork, supporting reading and writing development.
Cultural Events & Community Engagement: Collaborating in local events, storytelling, and creative expression activities.
Maintenance & Logistics: Organizing materials, maintaining the space, and contributing to improvement projects.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday: 1 hour (if necessary, depending on ongoing projects)
Volunteers should coordinate with the program team to distribute tasks within the established Schedule.
Rules
1. General Conduct
Act respectfully and responsibly at all times.
Follow the instructions of the program coordinators and staff.
Treat all members of the community, including children, staff, and fellow volunteers, with kindness and respect.
Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior.
2. Attendance & Punctuality
Volunteers must adhere to the established schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM, and Friday (if needed) for one hour.
Notify the program coordinators in advance if unable to attend a scheduled session.
Arrive on time and be prepared for assigned activities.
3. Responsibilities & Commitment
Actively participate in assigned activities and contribute to the program's goals.
Respect the community’s cultural values and traditions.
Maintain a positive and proactive attitude when working with children and other community members.
4. Facilities & Resources
Keep the workspace clean and organized.
Use all equipment and materials responsibly; any damages must be reported immediately.
Personal belongings are the volunteer’s responsibility—Garay Otavo is not liable for lost or stolen items.
5. Meals & Accommodation
Volunteers are responsible for preparing their own meals, except for lunch, which is provided from Monday to Thursday.
Respect shared spaces and maintain cleanliness in the accommodation area.
6. Safety & Well-being
Follow all safety guidelines established by the program.
Report any incidents, concerns, or emergencies to the program coordinators immediately.
Consumption of alcohol or drugs during volunteer hours or within program facilities is strictly prohibited.
7. Termination of Agreement
The organization reserves the right to end a volunteer's participation if they fail to comply with the rules, demonstrate inappropriate beha
