Overall, this was a great experience! The people are what make all of the work worth it (it is a lot so be prepared), but it's nothing that isn't in the description. The family-like relationship you build with the other volunteers makes it hard to leave. I made friends what will last a life time.

I did love volunteering at the hostel as the people I volunteered with were amazing. We all became a close family and spent all our free time together doing various fun activities. The people you meet are wonderful and I made connections I will truly cherish forever. However, in terms of the hostel itself, I felt the work responsibility and level of intensity was quite extreme. On days where the hostel was busy, the hours were very long and the work was arduous. The bedroom is very small, sleep lots of people, gets dirty quickly and has no natural sunlight.

My experience at the hostel was great! The managers are extremely helpful and kind with the volunteers (they will always be ready to help you, listen to you and satisfy your requests if possible), they have been able to create a very welcoming and serene environment. The other volunteers will become your little family during the experience, I felt at home with them. Working hours are respected, during the winter months we often finished before time. Den Haag is in an excellent position for day trips, and the volunteers can drink a beer for €1 in a bar near the hostel.

I'll never forget my stay at the hostel! I felt welcomed the moment I arrived and all the other volunteers and managers truly felt like my extended family. You stay right in the city center so there are always things to do! I'm going to miss sharing beers with you all at the end of a long day more than anything. I couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience! Special shout-out to Murilo, Rafa, Maria, and Bella for creating and maintaining such a lovely environment :)

The team at the hostel welcomed me in, instantly i felt at home and soon built friendships with all of the other Volunteers & guests. The work was as expected & described on worldpackers, with the Managers happy to listen to requests, adaptations of the schedule, They make it obvious that they care about the Volunteers. I stayed for 6 weeks, travelling to other towns in the Netherlands, playing pool or drinking €1 beer at Gekkes! Highly recommended :)

The location is in the city center where most of the bars and clubs are. They have an agreement with a local bar for euro beers and once you stop at the food places around enough they will give you great treatment. The most important thing about the hostel was the community. The managers are always willing to talk about anything and everything, if there is any problem they will work out a way to fix it, they never talk down and always emphasize comfort, and lastly, the managers have cultivated a community that all the volunteers are gonna thrive in and enjoy.

The hostel was my first volunteering experience and I must say it was the best decision ever. The members of the staff were always nice, very communicative and helpful. The hours and the tasks were never out of what was agreed. The place is really nice, the hostel is just beautiful, cozy and has everything. The Hostel is also located in the center of the city, and The Hague is amazing and you can also get easily and fast to other main cities in the Netherlands. And besides that, my the hostel family is full of some of the best people I've ever met and I'll always take that with me.

I can not say enough good things about the hostel. This was my first trip with Worldpackers and I don't think I could have chosen a better place. From my first night the managers and other volunteers made me feel welcomed. It was like I was working with friends not strangers. The work was fair and we almost always ended before the agreed time. The managers are respectful and work quick with unexpected circumstances. I definitely would recommend staying here. All my love for the hostel!!♥️
