Working in a hostel in Seoul, Korea
The experience
Hello, worldpackers!
I am looking for volunteers to work in a hostel 18 hours a week, and we can make a schedule together.
We can work, go hiking together, but also you have free time.
You'll be helping us with cleaning tasks (rooms and other common areas)
Doing the laundry, cleaning the room and toilets, welcoming guests, etc.
What you offer
14 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
What you get
1 day off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Free Hiking Tours:
We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
Language lessons:
Take free language classes at our place.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Dedicated Workspace:
Specific space for you to work remotely
Requirements
Intermediate English or Beginner Korean
Between 18 and 45 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Work
Cleaning - Rooms, toilets, bathrooms, hallways, inside of the building, rooftop
Welcoming guests
Laundry of the blankets and towels
Activities & Shift
Food Experience - Korean bbq restaurant, Korean food restaurant
Nature Experience - Hiking on the mountain
History Experience - Korean History trip(palace in Seoul)
Local Experience - Trip to somewhere in Korea with train, Trip with bus
(The cost of all activities is on you.)
Rules
Visitors are not allowed to enter the building.
Food is allowed in the lounge. Not in the room.
