The experience

This is a Boutique Hostel located in the heart of Cuenca.
We are looking for volunteers to help with reception and hostel cleaning.

The hostel stands out for its comfort, organization, and constant cleanliness at all times. That’s why proactivity is an essential requirement for volunteers to meet the standards of Guillerminas Boutique Hostel.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent English

Between 18 and 37 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

El voluntariado es de 25 horas, 5 días a la semana.


Activities & Shift

The volunteer will be responsible for reception tasks, which include:

Handling check-ins and check-outs
Assisting with the daily cleaning of bathrooms and rooms
Preparing breakfast (if assigned to the morning shift)
Processing payments for stays
Providing tourist information
Night shift responsibilities: Receiving guests who experience transportation issues and arrive outside regular hours. In these cases, it is a priority to show empathy and ensure they have a place to stay.


Rules

Volunteer Guidelines at Guillerminas Boutique Hostel

The kitchen is for personal use only. Cooking for sale is not allowed.
No economic activities related to guests are permitted, either inside or outside the hostel.
Visitors are allowed only with prior approval from the administration and must be scheduled in advance.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hostel and during shifts.
Professional appearance is essential while on duty.
Personal hygiene is mandatory, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned spaces (private or shared room).
Fluent English is required.
