Volunteer in community and retreat center
The experience
Alma Mactzil, meaning "Soul Miracle," is a sanctuary where you can retreat from the outside world and embark on a journey toward holistic well-being and spiritual alignment. Born out of two words: Alma, meaning “soul” in Spanish, and Mactzil, meaning “miracle” in Mayan —this phrase embodies our mission:
To nurture soulful beings so they may discover the miracle that lies within.

Activities & Shift
We offer three types of stays depending on your intentions and level of involvement
Volunteers play a crucial role in the space as they are the ones who create the community atmosphere. They welcome visitors, support special events, beautify our gardens, create content for social media and much more,
We encourage them to contribute their time, energy and talent in the areas they feel a resonance with.
The exchange of work is pretty simple, we have different departments who rotate weekly so we can all share and learn a little bit of everything.
We help in the kitchen, in the garden, in diy/crafts, content creation, cleaning communal spaces, etc.
You'll leave with valuable skills that will serve you for a lifetime, learning how to live with less impact and a deeper appreciation for rural living. Experience meaningful connections and gain insights that resonate far beyond your stay. Join us for a transformative experience that nurtures growth, connection, and a soulful way of living in harmony with the Earth.
