Bresly is an amazing teacher! I loved learning about the plants and animals that inhabit the Oxapampa region. It was also really cool to learn about the many ways it is possible to make agricultural forestry sustainable and safe. Bresly's home is truly a magical oasis, and I feel truly lucky to have spent a week there. During the week, we harvested avocados, planted a vegetable garden, and took walks throughout the forest and surrounding areas to learn about the flora and fauna of the region. We also went birdwatching and helped take care of the pet bunny. It was a great experience overall!!

Bresly is the most passionated host ever! You will learn about the different local plants, insects and birds. Furtermore we learned a lot about the local peruvian culture. Bresly is so welcoming and friendly and the work is really manageable, I higly recommend this place!!

Staying with Bresly has been an amazing experience that made me learn so much overall. I almost didn't know anything of plants, tree's or birds and because of her and the excursions I actually started to love it. Her love for it is kinda contagious 😅 also, she's a great cook so that's definitely a plus!!! The work that needed to be done was also really nice, we mostly did 'gardening' tasks and Bresly is suuuper flexible with the time so only positive things to say about my stay here!! :))

I only have nice words to say about this experience! Bresly is so welcoming and her family's home is beautiful. Bresly goes out of her way to share her passion for the environment and it's contagious. I learned a lot about reforestation, local plants and animals, and the history of Oxapampa. I would strongly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to deeper their relationship with the environment, others, and themselves. The work was fun and flexible. Also if you are interested in birding this is the place for you! & be ready to share life stories and listen to others!

Bresly was an amazing host! She's very welcoming and friendly and it's clear she's genuinely interested in sharing her love for nature and the environment with other people. Oxapampa is also such a cool place with a vibrant community and I learned a lot about its history from Bresly. If you are curious about about ecology, agroforestry, environmental conservation and don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty at times then this is the spot for you! There's also plenty of opportunities to hike, explore the wildlife, and go on excursions as well in your free time! Would 10/10 recommend:-)

A phenomenal experience!! Bresly is an amazing host! I learned so much about reforestation, caring for the earth, and the flora and fauna of the area. Bresly is very flexible with hours and it was a pleasure to get to help with the work being done, and she even showed me around a couple local towns. Highly highly recommend this experience especially if you love learning about nature!

Bresly was an incredible host and we had such an amazing time at the lodge. She spent time with us teaching us Spanish, teaching us about the local birds, insects, nature, plants, culture, food.. she shared about her life growing up here and really helped us connect with nature and feel at home. We always had plenty of food to eat and lots of time to explore and take photographs. There was no pressure to “work” 4 hours each day but we would go for hikes and take photos as and when we wanted. It is super flexible and a good environment to be in. Highly recommend!

What an amazing time I had 🤩 Bresly was an amazing host. She welcomed my wife and I in her house and I felt part of the family. Beforehand, communication was perfect. She came to get us at the bus station in Oxapampa and was always helpful to organize things for us (tour, taxis). I enjoyed the hours talking, learning about Peruvian culture, life, food, etc. Talking about food, it was amazing! Pachamanca 🤤 Bresly took us on many walks in the nature where I was able to take incredible photographs of birds, insects, etc. She also shared all her knowledge about sustainability 🍃 Unforgettable!

Mi experiencia en Grapanazú fue realmente extraordinaria y sumamente enriquecedora. Durante mi visita, tuve la oportunidad de aprender mucho sobre la diversidad biológica de la región, lo cual incluyó un estudio detallado de los diferentes tipos de aves que habitan el área. Estas aves, con sus variados colores y cánticos, no solo embellecen el paisaje sino que también juegan un papel crucial en el ecosistema local.

Estar en medio de la naturaleza de Grapanazú fue una experiencia maravillosa. Bresly me hizo sentir como en casa desde el primer día. Ella conoce mucho acerca de la flora y fauna del lugar, lo cual nos comentaba en cada excursión así como el tema de la agroforestería, una forma sostenible del uso de la tierra. Bresly también es muy buena cocinera y Waffle con gatito acompañan en la cabaña <3. Sin duda alguna, este voluntariado es una conexión total con la naturaleza, si salir de la rutina de la ciudad es lo que buscas y aprender sobre la diversidad de aves como plantas del entorno.
