The experience

My name is Rashed and I own and operate the Camp in Wadi Rum.

We are looking for volunteers to come and help us with our social media, websites, and marketing. Previous experience would be great but a good amount of technical savvy is fine as well.

We would love you to come and enjoy the desert with us. It is a beautiful place, with many different activities. We will try our best to make you feel at home and as a part of our family.

What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Intermediate English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Jordan

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Come and assist us with our websites and social media! In exchange you will be treated as a part of our family and shown the best of bedouin hospitality.

Activities & Shift

Your work will mostly consist of keeping up our social media posting, making adjustments and adding content to our website, writing content, and taking photos. No shift will be the same. Some days you will stay and work on the website, others you will join our tour groups taking beautiful photos of the desert.
