This is one of my favorite experiences to date! Emilia is so incredibly kind & caring. She really goes above and beyond to help her students succeed and to help you feel welcome. My time at the school and with her is definitely a highlight of my time in Colombia. If you're looking to immerse yourself in local culture, work on your Spanish, and make a difference teaching English - this is the experience for you! I've definitely made a lifelong friend :)

I spent 1 month at the school and it was amazing! I worked with recording & editing videos, creating advertising pieces and creating content for the institution's social medias. I also participated in some English classes talking about my travel experience & about my country, Brazil. Emilia is an incredible host, always happy and available to help. Her family also received me very well. The city of Paipa is also welcoming. I intend to come back soon. I recommend who wants to learn new languages (such as English, French and German) and to anyone who wants to be in contact with the real colombian :)

Toda mi experiencia fue súper buena. Emilia es una mujer muy amable y siempre está riendo y sonriendo. Su casa está en Tuta, un pueblito que queda a treinta minutos de Paipa. Su casa fue muy cómoda y limpia, y también tiene una gata tan linda. Ella me dio cincuenta pesos para el bus a y desde Paipa — tomaba treinta minutos y llegaba con mucha frecuencia. Paipa es muy tranquilo y no hay otros extranjeros, y definitivamente no hay monos como yo. Pero no fue una mala cosa — toda la gente fue acogedora. Los otros profes son muy geniales también y los estudiantes querían aprender en serio.

Mi experiencia en the school fue increíble. Emilia es un increíble anfitrión súper amable y siempre con buena energía! Me sentí siempre bienvenido y como en casa. Paipa es un lugar súper lindo y con una naturaleza súper hermosa.

Mi tiempo en la escuela fue de lo más lindo para comenzar mis voluntariados en Colombia! Boyacá es un lugar lleno de hermosos paisajes y naturaleza! Emilia te recibe desde el primer día con una sonrisa y te hace sentir como en casa <3 yo llegue a la escuela para ayudar con las redes sociales, los horarios son bastante flexibles y el trabajo es tranquilo! Recomiendo mucho esta experiencia y más si estás buscando escaparte un poco de la ciudad :)
