Omar's Camp Plaka was an amazing experience, I genuinely enjoyed my time there and getting the meet new volunteers, it is nice as the volunteers are always together working or cooking or hanging out at the beach or eating out at the local village together. The conversations were always interesting and the tasks never to difficult it was very laid back.

Perfect for beginners on worldpackers! I had an amazing experiance at camp plaka. Thank you so much Omer for giving me the opportunity to stay in your little paradise and meeting so many different travelers. The working hours and days off were respected and we had lots of time to go to the very close beach and town or to explore the neighborhood on hikes. Omer is a very interesting person and cares a lot about making the time unfogetable for his volunteers. Hopefully he will be around more for the next session so comunication will be easier and people can profite even more from him.

Thank you ! Indeed i was sad for missing out on bonding with you all. And especially as i didnt get to have time to chat with you in person. You are always welcome here or there.

I recommend this to anyone wanting to spend time in nature and going back to basics. Omer and Dani are very welcoming and easy going hosts. The area is absolutely beautiful with the camp being secluded in their plot of land but with villages 10 minutes walk away. The work was easy and we worked about 3hrs morning/ afternoon clearing brambles. The rest of the time we were left to enjoy the area/ beach or help cook and do some small chores. The last night they stayed with their friends in Volos so they dropped me off at a hostel they recommended and I enjoyed exploring another city.

It was my first time in Greece and I absolutely loved it. Staying in Plaka Camp was great because it was in nature and get to see amazing views + by living in such a place (not hostels) you can really get to know more about local culture, meet new people, have a real experience. Work was fine, it was my first time doing something like that so when I practiced it was really good and fun, but it absolutely was not safe. We made food/dinner etc mostly ourselves which was really nice, that we get to experiment and decide what we want. And people whom I met at the camp were just great.

Definitely one of the best experience in my life! I can tell that it was some hard times as the weather wasn't the best all the time, but all of the people I met was just amazing personalities from all around the world! I came here from big city life so being surrounded with pure nature was something different and I really loved it! I learnt so many new things: something about Greek culture by getting along with locals, gardening job and also getting to know about other world cultures from all of the travelers I met here. Omar, Dani and Layla (their daughter) are super welcoming people.

I absolutely loved my experience at the host! I had close to zero experience in manual work, so I gained a lot of experience in that matter. Omer was an amazing host and I had the best time working/living in nature and swimming in one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen everyday. Thank you for the experience and the great memories! ps: people from Québec are more than welcome there

I spent some days at the host and I really enjoyed the experience. Omer, Dani and Damien are warm and welcoming people and made me feel at home right away. The nature is absolutely beautiful, when you walk from the host to the beach, you get a beautiful view and an instant smile on your face :) I recommend the experience to anyone wanting to work outside in the nature, spend time with nice, open minded people in beautiful Greece. Thank you guys for the nice days there!
