This was my first worldpackers' experience. So many new friends and amazing memories made! The work was straightforward (especially if you're lucky enough to get an afternoon or night shift!). Otherwise, it was basic housekeeping tasks starting at 11am; making beds in the private rooms and dorms, sweeping and mopping the common spaces, as well as tidying up the kitchen. If you and your team work together you can finish super quick and have the rest of day to explore! We used the available bikes to head into town or to the beach (20 minutes each way). Thank you SunLife!! Miss you :,)

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the Faro Sunlife Hostel. The work is straightforward, non-demanding and the staff is patient and will provide you with any resources you need to help you fulfill your tasks. The hostel is in a peaceful, residential area and the supermarket, beach and airport is within walking distance. Centre town Faro is accessible by bike or bus (bikes are available to volunteers). I was surrounded by a lovely group of volunteers who instantly welcomed me in, we cooked, surfed and watched movies together. There is a sense of community at the Faro Sunlife hostel.

We had a lovely first hostel experience at the hostel. Everyone was super nice and well organized. Everyone knew what to do and when. You learn from the volunteers and give your knowledge to the next. The work was quite easy. It is a good location for travelers as it's close to the airport. However, the beach and city are 45 minutes away but you can take the bus or uber. Also we definitely recommend taking a day trip to Lagos! The atmosphere was very chill and we felt like at home. We'd love to come back some day!

As my first Worldpackers experience I loved it! I had an amazing time there and met so many lovely people. Mathaeus and Milena are very kind and helpful and they made you feel welcome! The shifts itself are really flexible and you have plenty of time to explore the town and the beach and even go for a day trip. Thank you for everything and hope to see you another time!

My experience was amazing! I met others volunteers we were 8 in total, and I really felt like home. Matheus and Milena are very kind and lovely people, they make sure everyone is fine. The job is not that hard, when you finish your task you are free to enjoy the day. The hostel is localized 40 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the supermarket. The beds are ok, the only thing is if you have a light sleep, the room is just in front of living room so you might have a problem to sleep sometimes because there are too much noise. It was amazing to spend 1 month there ❤️ Thanks for All!

10/10 in all aspects. It was the perfect place to start my trip. the hostel is a great place to relax and enjoy the simple things of life. There was a big Latin American atmosphere as most volunteers came from Latin American countries. Which was amazing. The tasks were simple and the schedule pretty flexible. Everything was great; the hostel, the people, the managers, the volunteers. I am grateful to have started my trip with you guys. I love you all <3. Milena I won't forget that dinner offer, get ready for my return. Maté, get ready for next year ;).

Andrea was an amazing addition to our group. Not only he is a good worker, but an amazing person. He was always willing to help, even when it was not his shift. Besides, he can cook risottos like no one else. He will definitely be a good fit anywhere he goes.

Very good first experience as a volunteer at the hostel in Faro. The hostel is a bit old but a good work team, the work is not too hard. Bikes are available for volunteers to get around the area by a natural park, not far from the beaches. I thank the whole team for their kindness and support in my first volunteer work.
