Overall, my experience was positive, with both strengths and areas for improvement. The location is a big plus, in Ipanema just one street from the beach!! and the common areas are very nice :) One challenge was the volunteers' room, it's quite small and lacked storage, so we had to keep our clothes in our suitcases. Because of the loft bed setup the person on top is really hot and the person below is really cold due to the A/C, so we had to move the mattress to the floor. Communication and feedback could be improved, but overall it was a valuable and enriching experience !!

The hostel Ipanema hostel , the best volunteering experience ever in RIO ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great facilities, acommodation 10/10. I helped in digital marketing for 2 months. I highly recommend for its professionalism as a leading company in the tourism sector. It's a high standard hostel with international level of quality. I want to highlight the amazing front desk team(Peter, Silas, Lucas) and the cleaning staff . Fred, Eduardo and Ivan were amazing! (The boss team ✨) . Hugo the manager has a unique leadership style: he is solution-oriented, empathic, experienced. I recommend the hostel! 10/10 🎉

The hostel was a great hostel. They had a very relaxed vibe, one block from the beach. That simply could not be beat. The beds were great. The AC worked. The showers were hot, and the water had pressure. If you're looking for a party hostel, Maybe there are other hostels that might fit that description better. However, if you want a nice hostel with a relaxed vibe, this is it!

The hostel is a really nice hostel in a great location and the manager Reinaldo as well as the rest of the staff are all really accommodating and lovely. Reinaldo himself is very flexible, understanding and overall just generally a great guy. I think there's definitely some improvements that could be made in terms of volunteer accommodation and also the owners interaction with volunteers but other than that it's a good time. Overall I would recommend! 😎🤩

NOT RECOMMENDED - Volunteers are expected to do unpaid work for the owners' other businesses, which generate profit for them. - The accommodation is inadequate: the room provided was a storage room, shared during high season by up to three people, with mattresses on the floor instead of proper beds. - There is constant staff turnover, with frequent dismissals, creating an unstable and stressful environment. - Unlike other hostels, this place offers no additional benefits such as breakfast or spending allowances. Overall, the conditions and benefits do not justify the work required.

The staff at the hostel were amazing and super helpful, The room was very small and sometimes we had 3 people staying in it, one would have a mattress on the floor (this was due to owners not wanting volunteers in dorms room) Management were very apologetic when this happened and tried there best to fit us in other dorms rooms but we were moved around a lot without communication, But we did have a room that was just for volunteers so we could keep our stuff there

Família the hostel ❤️ This time at the hostel exceeded all my expectations. I was welcomed with open arms and I truly felt that I was part of the community there. I got a lot of freedom for making content and they were super flexible and caring. I even got to have couple of more nights there due to changes to my travel plans and sudden illness. I hope I get to return one day ❤️

My experience at the hostel was very nice! I got to meet a lot of international travellers, make new friends and enjoy Rio at the same time. The staff is friendly and fun to be around. The work at the reception was very chill and the volunteer room was good. The hostel is located in a very safe and cool area in Ipanema next to various bars, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, metro stations and just a 2min walk from one of the coolest beaches in Rio!!

El tiempo que pasé en el hostel fue increíble. Más allá de ser un lugar lindísimo, tranquilo, súper bien ubicado..lo mejor que tiene el hostel es su gente. Volvería sin dudarlo. Me llevo experiencias, aprendizajes y buenas amistades. Fue mi segunda experiencia de voluntariado y fue todo lo que esperé 🤍 gratidão
