The experience

Overview:
This role focuses specifically on the supply and service of food and beverages to the campers and customers at our summer camp. Catering and hospitality staff assist the kitchen staff in preparing meals, serve in the restaurant and bar and are responsible for the preparation and maintenance of these areas. This role is very important to the satisfaction of children and the overall experience at our summer camp.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Beginner English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Romania

Included benefits & other information:
This position comes with free shared accommodation and provision of all meals.
This position has a minimum 45-days commitment period and is available for 3 months.

Activities & Shift

Responsibilities and duties:
Food and beverage service during breakfast, lunch and dinner
Cleaning and re-setting the tables and chairs after meals
Restocking napkins, condiments and cutlery
Making and serving coffees (espresso, latte, cappuccino etc.)
Sales of soft drinks/other beverages
Restocking and stock rotation in the bar fridges and being mindful of restocking needs for orders
Handling small amounts of cash
Washing dishes and cutlery
Washing glasses/coffee cups
Assisting in handling food/beverage deliveries
Assisting the kitchen staff when necessary in basic food preparation


Rules

Requirements:
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age and have a capable English speaking level, be personable and polite and enjoy working with the general public. It is not necessary to have barista/waiter experience, but is a bonus.

Important: This role requires working in an exciting, vibrant environment with a large team, flexibility and comfortability working in a fast-paced setting is a must.
