I felt welcome from the first moment. David has a kind and open personality. I did different kind of tasks: I worked in the garden, made a slinger with flags as decoration, builded a dog house with recycled wood,... I like change, so for me it was nice like this. I received love from David, from his cute son and from the animals in the house. I had a great time. Thank you all!

I was able to learn a lot from David and Mallku, his 4-year-old son, especially about myself. How he follows his heart project with little means and the challenges of life is incredible. Always with calm, confidence and love.

This was my first experience at WorldPackers and it completely exceeded my expectations. David is an incredible host, with excellent knowledge in his area, a sincere heart and empathy for any situation. The food was prepared as a team and was always delicious, the tent was very comfortable and the experience was amazing. I connected in an incredible way with other volunteers, I had the opportunity to get to know nearby communities, be in contact with nature and participate in ancestral medicine ceremonies. Thanks David the project! I will carry an unforgettable memory in my heart.

The project is a great place to connect with nature, and recharge with delicious vegetarian food. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. David is a very patient and motivating host, and I was proud of the work. A great opportunity to practice Spanish or English as you wish. Clear expectations for the work, and nice to feel like part of a family. It's worth noting that the project (being a permaculture eco-project) is not in the city centre :). Volunteers should make sure they have everything they need before the stay. Also could be lonely if you need a lot of socialising. Thanks to all!

Volunteering with David was an amazing experience! He's so knowledgeable about the project ancestral medicine and loves sharing what he knows. I went expecting to help out but ended up learning so much and making incredible connections. The job can be physically tough, if you're not used to it, but it's gratifying and David is very patient and supportive. The place has such a warm, welcoming vibe—thanks to David, Malkku, the two sweet dogs, and the awesome group of volunteers. A piece of my heart will always stay there. Thank you David for opening your space and your heart!

This was a truly unique experience for me. I had so much fun working with the other volunteers and learning about local culture, cuisine, and sustainability, as well as traditional wisdom and rituals. David is very welcoming and considered, and his son Mallku the smartest 4year old I've met. One thing to keep in mind is, it can be a bit noisy at night sometimes, so prepare accordingly if needed. Other than that, is a great experience that I'm gonna miss. Thanks to all the team!😊

Gracias por todo! I loved my time at the project. It was truly a beautiful and insightful experience. I learnt a lot about permaculture techniques, how to live more sustainably, ancestral medicine and more about Ecuadorian culture. The work is always outdoors which I enjoy and the tent is super cosy. David and his son Malku make you feel very welcome and apart of their home. My favourite volunteer experience so far, I will miss this little community. Gracias!

I loved my stay volunteering at the project! Antay is very knowledgeable about permaculture, ancestral medicines, and life in general, I learned a lot from him! He truly wants to make the world a better place and he is committed to it. The house is big and bright, and the food Antay prepared was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this space to anyone who wants to learn about permaculture, sustainable living, or ancestral and plant medicines like wachuma & mushrooms.
