I enjoyed my time at the hostel. The managers here were awesome. Thiago was a fun sassy manager to interact with 😂...and the other manager, Saulo was a very cool friendly guy, he had good vibes. I had fun times with them and the other volunteers I befriended during my time there. The tasks were simple and the work hours were fair. The hostel is bit far from the main attractions, but its in a nice safe neighborhood with shops/restuarants near by and friendly local people. Just want to say thanks to Saulo and Thiago for choosing me to contribute to helping them in the hostel. Obrigado!

My first experience volunteering and it was a great one. Lovely staff & other volunteers. Fair working hours and a really nice area of Rio. It was great to experience an area outside of the typical tourist places.

I wish I had more time to enjoy it more. Thiago and Saulo are such sweethearts. Schedules are set up together to best serve everyone. The cleaning routine can be completed in just a few hours. I want to go back.

It was our first volunteering experience and we couldn't have asked for more! The managers Saulo and Thiago were really friendly and made us feel at home. The working hours and chores were very fair. The other volunteers were really nice which made the stay even more enjoyable! We felt very safe in the area the Hostel is in . A few things to keep in mind ist that the hostel is quite far from the City Center (Ipanema/Copacabana) so you do have to Uber everywhere. We didn't have that much storage space, which is a bit unpractical but manageable. Overall it was a super cool experience!

This was our first volunteering position and we couldn't have asked for more. The manager Thiago and Saulo really made us feel welcomed and we felt at home. The working hours and chores were really fair, we had to clean first and then stay at the reception. The other volunteers were really nice, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We felt safe walking around the area. A few things to keep in mind: The hostel is quite far from the city center (ipanema, copacabana,…) and there isnt a lot of storage space, which was a bit unpractical but manageable. Overall it was a super cool experience!

Loved staying in in the hostel, met a lot of locals and volunteers. The hosts have great communication and are very friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to volunteer with a safe neighborhood a close by grocery shop and mall.

Foi voluntário não se adaptou por dificuldades de seguir orientações básicas, virou hospede e tambem nao se adaptou por dificuldades de cumprir regras básicas como lavar a louça que usou. Apesar disso foi muito educado e deixou o hostel de forma pacífica.

My experience at the hostel was amazing! I stayed for 2 weeks and got to explore the best of Rio! The neighborhood feels safe, and it's also pretty easy to get around from the hostel. The amount work in the hostel is fair, and Saulo is flexible to make sure that you have enough time to see everything you want to see in Rio. He's really open for inputs from the volunteers, which makes the hostel feel like home. I will definitely come back to the hostel if I'm ever in Rio again!
