The hostel was a nice experience, the people you meet there are the best, Palomino is an incredible place to volunteer and the task/time you have to work on the hostel is ok, not very hard, they just can improve the action plan when the light shut down but other than that I would recommend this, Franco and Pao are very attentive and Pepa (the dog) and Sati (the cat) are the best.

It was my first bad volunteering experience. The location is great, breakfast is made with care, and volunteers were welcoming. But the owner, who manages everything remotely, is controlling and unprofessional. He made me work right after a 30h trip, refused to use the generator during power outages, and constantly watched us on cameras. I even had to pay for guests' drinks once due to poor cash handling. He later harassed me over a laundry fee. Palomino is amazing, but I don't recommend volunteering here.

La experiencia con Víctor no fue del todo satisfactoria. En nuestra opinión, demostró un nivel de comunicación limitado, baja proactividad y una disposición reducida para asumir responsabilidades más allá de las tareas básicas asignadas. Asimismo, evidenció poca apertura para recibir observaciones y realizar mejoras frente a errores identificados. Cabe mencionar que se retiró sin cumplir con el pago pendiente y, pese a ser contactado posteriormente, no mostró interés en regularizar la situación.

This place has lots of potential, but unfortunately I didnt fully enjoy my stay. Firstly,I was told the volunteers got commissions on the sold tours but when I arrived and asked about it the host just said 'there are no comissions anymore' with no explanation.There were also no free tours or extra activities.The coffee (apart from breakfast) is also not included.Rooms and kitchen can definitely be cleaner and appliances need some maintenance. Lastly,they only work with volunteers, so there is no actual employee for administration.Host communicates via whatsapp and expects immediate replies.

I had a great experience at the hostel! Palomino is an amazing place to volunteer. I enjoyed the pace of life and It's easy to feel at home here since it's such a small town. I bartended and did reception and both were easy and hours agreed upon were adhered to. I never met the owner in person but Franco was very, very flexible with my schedule when I made requests so that I could da day trip. I reallyyy appreciated that. It would've been better to be trained by someone who can speak English. The reception employee seemed to be on a power trip sometimes but the other volunteers were amazing!

My volunteer in the hostel was amazing. I met extraordinary people, and I connected with Palomino and its vibe. The duties were easy, and clear. Franco and Pao always treated me with respect and make me feel comfortable since first day. I'm going to miss the hostal vibe, and the days I spent there. It was a chapter in my life that I will treasure forever. I'm already missing Pepa, and Billy ( the hostal's dogs). They were such a great company during my shifts. Without a doubt a top experience that I would recommend to everyone.

The hostel is one of the best volunteering I've ever done. I felt really at home and Paola & Marco are lovely and friendly since the first moment. The tasks are not complicated and the breakfasts are amazing!

Siendo mi primer voluntariado, el hostel me acogió de una manera increíble, siendo súper pacientes y amables en todo momento. Franco y Paula que linda pareja, dándola toda para que el Hostal funcione, y como no, si Palomino atrae energías increíbles y llenas de magia! ✨

Desde el primer momento nos cautivó el video sobre el hostel y su creación, lo que nos hizo sentir identificados con su historia; por eso lo cuidamos como nuestro. La estadía fue excelente: tareas claras, administradores atentos y abiertos a sugerencias. Recomiendo muchísimo este lugar: hay un gran ambiente de trabajo, conexión con la naturaleza y viajeros de todo el mundo. Gracias Franco y Pao por su paciencia y enseñanzas; que su negocio siga prosperando. P.D.: ¡Los desayunos de la señora Betty son los mejores de Palomino! Jorge fue muy amable y colaborador, y quedamos encantados con Sathy.

El hostel fue mi primer voluntariado, y lo recomendaría a ojos cerrados se cumple con lo estipulado y el hostel hizo de mi experiencia algo único y mágico volvería sin dudarlo
