We had a great time volunteering at the hostel! Talab was such a funny and respectful host — he made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed from the start. Our tasks were simple and very flexible since we were mainly helping with social media, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the place. We went during the off-season, so there weren't many guests and not much happening, but that actually made it a very relaxed experience for us.Thanks for having us, Talab!

I'm so happy that I stayed at the hostel. It is a well-known hostel in Jaisalmer. The location is great, right next to the fort. 10 minutes from the train station as well. Talab was a great host and has a very inspiring story. The reception work was easy and I was happy to help with some troubleshooting too. Talab took me on some tours in his car and bike around the city which was really fun. He also made sure that I met other international travelers. My only critique is that I was very excited to take care of camels (based on the title of the exchange) and that isn't a job actually offered.

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel! Taleb was a good host who always looked out for me, and all of the staff at the hostel were good people and nice friends. The hotel has an amazing big rooftop with the best view of the fort and is in a great location for exploring the city. I was given a good private room for my stay and provided with meals. Taleb also drove me around the city, and to cool places like the lake and the haunted village. and at the end of my stay they kindly dropped me to the bus stand and made sure i was safely on my way!

Talab is a great host, with an great history! He made us feel confortable since the first moment. We helped him producing photos and videos about the hotel and the desert the hostel, and dealing with his social media. Our schedule was very flexible, since it was important for us to visit the highlights of the city. We even got a chance to go to the desert the hostel! It was amazing! Thank you, Talab!

I spent such a good time in the hostel, I felt treated as a family member. They received me very kind and offer me a room for myself. The job was pretty easy, helping in reception, some post and videos for social media and for sure sharing with the guest. Jaisalmer in general is such a nice place to visit and have a different experience of India. I really appreciate the time in the hostel specially with Talab and hiral, they are good persons 🫶

My experience was interesting. I enjoyed the stay and the people were incredibly friendly. Everyone constantly made sure that I was comfortable and taken care of. One thing I struggled with a lot was the lack of communication of expectations or tasks. Sometimes I found myself sitting at the desk feeling completely lost, because I wasn't really explained what was expected of me. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it, but maybe for someone who already has some experience with running a business, so they can make suggestions and take action accordingly

The place is beautiful, but the host gave me non-AC room, and it was very hot temperature due to off season. But he gave me the opportunity to do the hostel twice, and there was no restriction in respective working time. The host didn't interact much, but his brother was managing the place, and I have spent a lot of time with Aladdin and Mehaboob. Highly recommended because of amazing the hostel experience.

The experience is truly what you make of it. I came during the off season, so there wasn't much to do except help with online tasks, such as writing emails, optimizing websites, and replying to reviews or comments. The communication started off good but after the first few days, it was really lacking and I felt totally out of loop. I got to experience the hostel which was amazing, but didn't get to work with the camels at all since it was off season. Not many people speak English. I had a lot of free time around Jaisalmer which was nice, and the local people really made the experience for me.
