The hostel creates a very special family atmosphere for volunteers AND guests. I made many friends and always felt like I had something to do with people. The work is pretty easy and straightforward and we never did more than the agreed upon hours. The owners are very willing to listen to ideas and let you work on your own projects around the place. There's a reason guests and volunteers return here! I'd highly recommend volunteering here.

Schedules are seniority based with other volunteers. The manager is understanding and accommodating and uses people's unique skills to get things done. This is a very social hostel which made it easy to break into the island's social life. Even the guests would tell me this was one of the most social hostels they've been to. It was a cool experience to be able to meet so many other international travelers while staying at an amazing location. I would recommend to anyone looking for an exchange in the area :)

I loved my time at the hostel ! It was an amazing experience where I got to meet lots of people from all around the world. Everybody was so nice and had such an interesting story. This was my first time solo travelling this way. I felt so safe and welcomed amongst the team there. the hostel truly felt like a home away from home. Gran Canaria is a fun and beautiful Island. I was lucky to be there during the festival of Teror. That "party hike" with the locals was one of my best memories. The shifts aloud me to organise myself to go on trips all around the island. I got to see wonderful sceneries.

I had an amazing time here! At the beginning there were some problems with the old manager, but as soon as the owner Jaco heard about the problems he took over and really cared and listen to all the problems and solved it. He really tries to make your stay as an amazing experience as the hostel as a good place to stay. The vibe in the hostel is amazing as well, you really feel like a huge family. Old volunteers are always passing by, what shows you, that the vibe is always good there. The working hours are relaxed and you will have enough time to go surfing.

Volunteering at the hostel was my first Worldpackers experience and it couldn't have been better! The work was clear and respected the hours, it's well organized and left plenty of time to explore the island :) The hostel has a great social vibe, with a beautiful rooftop and located just steps away from the beach ⛱️ We encountered some problems with the initial manager, but this was handled swiftly and left the team feeling validated. The volunteer team, owners and guests make this place easy to love, truly a home away from home <3 I highly recommend volunteering at Aguïta!🌞

Staying in the hostel has been a wonderful experience. We had some Problems in the beginning with the previous manager, but as soon as we talked to the owners about it, they immediately reacted. Shot out to the owners who truly care about your wellness, a good team work and amazing vibes. The whole team felt like a big family and I little bit like home :) I was able to meet so many wonderful people. And will always remember the time with the other volunteers with a big smile on my face. I'm gonna miss it :(. Shot out to Eva and aude who made this experience truly one of a kind 🫶🏼

It was an amazing experience! The tasks and hours were as agreed and definitely easy to learn. We had really nice events, where voluteers and guests came together, and afterwards going to the beach singing, chilling and playing Uno made my day. The location was perfect for exploring the city, beach and nature. The people make the experience!! In my time there i met many so different but so amazing people. We organized little road trips by ourselves to see the island, went out together or just talked to each other half-asleep with our last braincell working;) Would definitely recommend 10/10!

My experience in the hostel was great i met a lot of wonderful people from around the world,there was a problem with the first manager and his approach to the females,but as soon as we told it to the owner he acted right away and we all had a meeting together m,it all ended great and the menage was replaced.This gave me a really positive vibe and knowing that these kind of things are not tolerated not even a bit is great for all the female guests and volunteers so they can feel as comfortable as they should.This was my first volunteer experience and it was a great way to start🤗

It was my first volunteering experience and I definitely recommend it! I had an amazing time, and felt comfortable in the hostel. It's the perfect place to meet other travelers, go surfing and explore the island. The hostel is very close to the beach and the rooftop is beautiful. I will definitely come back one day:)

The hostel was amazing from beginning to end. My 2 months flew by, the vibe with the other volunteers and guests was amazing and there were a lots of activities. The manager Joanna was awesome! and she made sure everyone knew what to do and everyone was having a great time! Before every week a schedule was made with all your shifts, but it was quite easy to switch some shift around so I could explore the island. The hostel is also connected to other hostels along the island, where you can visit for free. This was an amazing experience, thanks to everyone that made this unforgettable!
