I absolutely loved my stay at the hostel! Facilities are very good, the location is perfect, the team is extremely nice and welcoming - I felt at home from day one thanks to Will and other volunteers. The work was as described in the application, my stay was 100% positive experience. Special thanks to May for all of the delicious food :)

The hostel is very responsive and the work is easy. Usually, work starts at 11am and ends at 1 or 2, depending on the number of workers that day. We had plenty of time to explore Taipei. It was fun to spend time with Will and the other volunteers!

Good people, good environment. Nice location. Easy job, it's a hostel so some days are busier than others. Starts at 11; changing the bed sheets, swipe and mop the floor, clean the bathrooms, empty the trashcans... Helpful staff if you need infos of the surrounding. Thank you 😊

I had an incredible stay at the hostel !! The hostel is very well located, whether to visit Taipei or to reach other places to visit in Taiwan. The planned work missions are respected and are not difficult. The schedule is given in advance, which allows to organize stays of several days outside of Taipei. Everything is very well organized and I was very well received. The team on site is very vigilant to ensure that everything goes well for the volunteers, they are available, flexible and give good advice ! I could not have dreamed of better to discover Taiwan in such good conditions !

The tasks were pretty easy and consistent. On weekdays work only took me about 1,5 hours and on weekends around 3 hours. The facilities were ok, there wasn't much of a kitchen and the wifi worked really poorly in the womens floor. Overall it was still a very good experience. The location is amazing and all the regular staff were really nice and welcoming!

The overall experience was good. The work is easy and on most days you can finish early. However, a few downsides. The host asks for 35$ deposit and because there often is a micromanaging atmosphere, you feel like you could loose this money easily. Also if you somehow decide to leave earlier. Because the work is so light, you have plenty of free time but you might find yourself getting bored quick. Some flexibility in the overall management would greatly improve this.

This was my first time working at a hostel so I didn't come with many expectations, but I would say I had a good first experience! The work was as described and often did not take the entire time allotted. About 1-2 times a week there were additional ad hoc tasks that extended cleaning time but not by very much. With a rotation of 4 part-time employees and one support staff it sometimes brought different work expectations. Nevertheless, the group chat could be used for inquiry and always had a fast response from May. I would recommend to others especially if you like a quieter space.

Codi is a very attentive person. She's very interested in Chinese and is studying it diligently. She's always smiling. May doesn't speak English, but we communicate patiently. We sometimes share food, and Codi also shares it with everyone. We love her very much and hope she can learn Chinese well in Taiwan.

I stayed one month at the hostel. The work is easily done, especially when there are more volunteers. Depending also on the volunteers this is a social experience, but it can also be calm. The guests are more to themselves, so if you are looking for a social party hostel this might not be the place for you. You sleep in the same room as the guests, but the beds are pretty decent and (thanks to us) the floors are also decently cleaned. Thank you Will for organising the social activities and helping us out while working! All in all it was a super wholesome experience, I wish I stayed longer!
