The work overall is a bit tired if you are not used to it, but with the days it gets easier, yet they would teach you the task and would be patient through your learning process, they would respect your work schedule, and further lend you time to rest you would learn a lot about horses and how is to live in the countryside. Klara and Huck are very respectful and warm people, as well as thoughtful and caring. They would do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable in the house, and as far as you follow the house rules (which are very reasonable) everything would be good.

Good experience overall, working with the animals is great, the hours and the tasks were as described, the house is really nice and the surroundings are beautiful! Only thing i would suggest is being less controlling about the volunteer's food intake - situations like being called out for putting "a lot of milk" on my cereals at breakfast happened quite a lot and it made me feel quite self-conscious. Huck can be harsh but it's his personality, don't take it personally. Klara is great, always making sure you're comfortable and have everything you need :) Will definately miss the horses a lot!

The farm is a really nice and well taken of place in the middle of a beautiful part of the Czech republic. The work involved animal care, household tasks and work like gathering firewood. The work can be physically hard and some tasks need to be done at hard-set times, other than that there is a lot of flexibility and room for discussion. Klara, the host, is very nice and easy to talk with. We (travel partner and I) ended up learning the farmlife isn't for us and they were very understanding of our choice to leave a bit earlier. A good place to get back to basics and to nature.

Good place to learn about living on a farm and taking care of animals. Great if you like nature and don't mind some hard work. For me, it was not what I was expecting. The hours are spread out over the day which leaves little time to explore other places. Also no locals. It's something I should have known before applying. You do have one half and one full day off per week. Klara (host) is very nice, a good host and very understanding about me leaving early. I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn about farm life or getting some time off the grid for yourself. The place is beautiful! 💕
